The fastest way back is for CDD to figure it out. This combined with UTs failure rate at hiring coaches leaves me leaning towards hope. The reality is if CDD wins 8 he gets another year..
What your seeing is not excuses, it's the first signs that CDD might actually be able to do this. It's hope. If you can't see there was improvement today then you're either blind or trolling.

Serious post:

I can see what you are saying...to a degree. There was some good things tonight, but there were some trainwrecks. We fought. Great, but I expect that. I don't hope for it. My teams didn't win every game, but I assure you they gave max effort every time they stepped on the field. We gave up nearly 600 yards to their offense. We couldn't set an edge even if we were working a puzzle. The outside running lanes of our D are open more often than a 7-11 store. We are in season 3, and the only solution for a reliable kicking game was pulling a guy off frat row 2 hrs before a game. We recruited a kicker, but we got his leg broke in practice going over kick blocks. I know folks are praising the hustle and fight and say we've lacked talent the 1st two years, but it takes zero talent to hustle. It takes a motivator. It takes respect for the person leading you. It takes an atmosphere of not accepting anything short of the best effort from every player. We have to have that every game.

It is mis-information. Dooley just lost his 3rd in a row to UGA. Do you believe there are any ringing endorsements?

I doubt boosters are happy, but i don't know how Hart feels about Dooley.
I've got to believe the pressure will begin to mount for Hart if he is wanting to keep CDD and we continue to lose football games.

Honestly, a close loss could have been the worst possible outcome tonight. A fluke performance that was just good enough to make Hart and boosters to rethink.

If we keep losing but remain "competitive", it could draw out the process way too long.

How many years will Gruden take to re build this program -- if its 1 then I am all for him --- fed up with the 3 year window crap

All-Grudenite post IMO

Sadly, I'm the poor cousin of a mega booster. I also am friends with the son of another.
Those are my 2 sources. Yes I heard it from both tonight.
That's why I asked Jay to check with his source.

One is saying nothing's changed. Still waiting for word from another.

I disagree. Competitive or not he's got to win football games. JMO

I'm not saying that's what i think will happen, it's what i fear will happen.
Sure. I understand what you're saying. IMO if we lose to MSU, Bama, and USCe regardless of how close the games are I can't see him being back.
