Figured to start a thread, separately on Jordan Horston’s injury status. Coach Kellie honestly looked distraught, defeated, and appeared like she could’ve cried in the postgame interview. She said she doesn’t know the extent of what’s going on at this time, but that Jordan was taken to the hospital for X-rays.

So what happened to her? I didn’t watch the game and assumed Lady Vols would blow out Bama but apparently I thought wrong as read they lost?

Hope the young lady is okay.

I looks broke… after she dove for a ball and collided with a Bama player

Hell, I'd be in tears too. For those of you not keeping up with the Lady Vols this year, Jordan Horston has been an absolute star. Leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists or steals (maybe both), and an absolute beast on the court. If you were to compare her impact to the men's team, think of losing Vescovi, Ziegler, and Chandler all at once. Naismith Award finalist and definitely a 1st Team All-SEC player. Top 10 player in the country IMHO.

Horston also leads the Lady Vols in "turnovers"...she really needs to work on ball security.

I have it on good authority that her elbow is fractured. It had to be popped back in socket on the court last night.

When the Alabama team doctor, not just their trainers, came out immediately, plus they brought a stretcher out just in case, plus their team doctor walked with Jordan off the court and to the dressing room, that told us all we really need to know. Plus the effing blow up cast. Not just a random injury. I was afraid it was a compound fracture from everyone's immediate reaction.

Hard to think beyond the impact emotionally on Jordan and the team. Get well soon everyone. What a long, strange trip this season has been.

You've hit on a key problem with our offense. Not the only problem, but one of them.
It's how you game plan in HS that has one player and a few role players. Take the best player out (not literally) and make someone else beat you.

You’re right. You could tell by her team’s reaction that something was really bad.

Never a good sign for a air slint to be used.

And Alabama's team reaction. TV showed them in their huddle and they looked pretty stunned, including Kristy Curry. Eyes kept wandering back to Jordan and the doctors. Everyone who was nearby knew immediately it was serious, which is why I was afraid of compound fracture.

God I hate it for Jordan who has struggled so mightily, especially mentally, and had just conquered the beast. Her last 3 games have probably been her best and most consistent of her career. Hopefully all she's fought thru so far will help her get thru this. Prayers and blessings for her.
