Jordan Horston Injury Status

It’s not the time or the place, that’s what makes it tactless. A kid is seriously hurt. This is a thread about her injury, not her play. There are threads for that.

"Hell, I'd be in tears too. For those of you not keeping up with the Lady Vols this year, Jordan Horston has been an absolute star. Leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists or steals (maybe both), and an absolute beast on the court. If you were to compare her impact to the men's team, think of losing Vescovi, Ziegler, and Chandler all at once. Naismith Award finalist and definitely a 1st Team All-SEC player. Top 10 player in the country IMHO. "

At this point, the season seems like a total loss anyways. We were always hanging by a thread when we were winning and losing Green, Horston, and of course Suarez never being available as well as Kelly's inability to get this team to not turn it over just has us looking awful.

Just too much to recover from. Maybe hope for a first round win.

Hope Horston takes time to recover and can come back next year and lead our team.

Mali Horston has a strong faith in God which she has also instilled in her daughters. She will be a rock in sustaining Jordy during her recovery. Mom has written eloquently about losing close friends to illnesses recently, so she is no stranger to trials. She knows that God's plan always works for good for those who love the Lord and are called accoding to His purpose.

May Lady Vol Nation offer our prayers and support to Jordy, Marta, Keyen, Rae, and all teammates who have sustained injuries this season, whether nagging, hampering ones or ones that kept them out for a lengthy period or ended their season.

And may their healthy teammates find ways to dig deep and put forth maximum effort even as they support their wounded friends.

I did not watch game. When did injury happen?
Tamari was upset at her press availability too. Obviously didn’t want to be there. Jordy is her BF.
I’m sure she was hurting for Jordy.
Late in game when we were scrambling and pressing trying to catch up. After it happened, the remaining minutes were just kind of going thru the motions.

It was in front of the Bama bench, and Kristy Curry immediately started calling for help, And it went downhill fm there.

You’re trying to be purposely obtuse. Cute.

Horston also leads the team in "turnovers".

Feeling gutted by Jordan's injury. When it happened, the camera provided (unfortunately) a clear view of the moment of injury and its aftermath. The only silver lining is that the injury is on her non-dominant arm so at least she is not going to have relearn her shooting motion and all the rest that would come to an injury impacting her dominant hand. Injuries are always terrible, never come at a good time but Jordan had been playing so well it is really hard to see her season ended like this.

But, comeback stories are great too. Looking forward to seeing you back on the court, in all your resplendent glory, Jordan.

Thanks, I needed that, and its so true. Next year we'll hear 40 times a game about Jordan's great comeback. We can make a drinking game out it! I'll bet she will be a ferocious beast next year. Seeing how quickly it can all go away is very motivating.

Meanwhile, thoughts with her and this huge, disappointing adjustment she has to make.

Three cheers to this drinking game. I may start early....

Hoping we won't need a drinking game next year.

I did notice recently that the "Darth's Positive Posts" drinking game has been approved by Alcoholics Anonymous.

I hope she mends well. Tough to watch that. Lady Vols just did not have heads in the game. Terrible performance. Tournament hopes are very bleak without Horston and poor effort.
