Iirc he was putting up big numbers last year. He has the ability, he just needs to bring it to the court on a nightly basis.

He doesn't have the jump shot to average more than 16 in a league that plays defense. RTL is hardly a league to measure a scores ability. I think he average around 30 ppg last RTL. And that was about his shooting percentage in sec play. Worst jumper on the team.

Look at the numbers, not even close to accurate.

With that said McRae has teased us with huge numbers in the RTL before, so while 64 is impressive I won't let it change my look on him, needs to prove it on the court.

However, CCM has been praising McRae in this offseason and saying he's been very impressive, so maybe there's reason for optimism. If thr switch has come on, watch out!

You're saying worst jumper/shooter on the team, and that's not accurate.

His fg% was higher than 3 other main players and his 3 point % was higher than 1 of the other main players on the team. So obviously he isn't te worst shooter/jumper on the team. He isn't the best, but definitely wasnt the worst either.

I've said that the RTL isn't an accurate indicator when looking at stats, all my issue with your post was was you saying he had the worst jumper/shot, that's not true IMO and the numbers back that up as well.

That's all.

Exciting for JM to go for such a big number. Now it is what it is, a offensive show league. It also a Kobe type performance. Not from the dominant player perspective. Rather from the JM will make a ton of shots because JM took a ton of shots.

I stand behind my statement. His form and shot is the WORST on the team. Skylar would have better FG % if he could ever get to th rim for a layup. He is all jumper. Cam had a bad shooting year. But is still a better shooter than Mcrae. Now can you honestly tell me you think McRae has a better jump shot than either of those two? I would say if you take away J Mac's layups and dunks he shoots 25% from the field. Go look at some video. That's just ugly...

I think McRae will have a much much better year next season, but the rocky top league couldn't have less to do with that expectation. Still cool to hear someone threw in 64 though. That's nuts!

You could say that for a lot of players. The dudes got length, gets to the rim pretty well, and has shown flashes of range and shooting ability. He's got the potential to be one of the best scorers for the team next year. I don't understand your criticism of him.

I know this is off topic and I have to admit I was not there. Based upon my previous trips to the RTL the gym had to be about 300 degrees tonight, how anyone could play in that heat is beyond me. How was the attendance?

He actually was 27/36, seriously doubt Kobe has ever shot 75% while scoring 60+

Shawn Marion's shot is ugly too, but if it goes it then whatever. The numbers say jordy isn't the worst shooter on the team, that's all I was saying.

BTW McRae was also 8-13 from 3, it may be ugly but if it's going in at a rate even close to that who cares what it looks like?

Regulars on this board will tell you there is no love lost between McRae and myself. I think he is grossly overrated for his athletic ability moreso than his basketball skill (same can be said for a lot of Pearl's players). However, I don't think his form is "terrible" as you suggest. It needs some refinement, and he needs to put more arc on his shot. Working with a shot coach and putting up 500 jumpers a day focused on better form can and will correct that, if he's willing to put in the time.

A more accurate assessment would be, he has the worst shot management discernment on the team, in that he is too quick to settle for outside shots. Mostly, it seems, he appears to be scared of contact taking the ball to the hole, and those ill-advised shots seem to come with 20-25+ seconds on the shot clock.

He'd get to the rim a lot more if he tried. Honestly, he could stand to gain about 30 pounds. He could lead the team in scoring based solely on FT opportunities if he'd drive more, rather than settle for 23-footers.

I'd love to see him (or anyone else) score 64 on KY just to watch Crapilari cry on national TV.

Sounds good. Im not a fan of Kobes selfishness. One reason I have liked LeBron a ton more than him. I hope Jordan learns the essentials of team ball. A few times last season I felt he trusted his athleticism too much going inside and would get a crazy uncontrolled charge called on him.

Plenty of people said that prior to last year, but I didn't see it happening, and it didn't.

Head cases tend to stay head cases. That's my concern. Has lots of talent and seems like a decent kid, but his head may always be in his way.

I expected big things from him 2 years in a row, especially this past year. He was definitely improved, but still definitely had a long ways to go. I told myself I no longer will get "excited" for him until he actually shows it on the court for a good amount of games. If someone's going to help him get it figured out though, I definitely see CCM as being that guy.

Hopefully I'm right, I've always liked jordy and thought he had a huge upside, would love to see him show out this year and have a huge year.
