Jordan McRae goes for 64 in Thurs RTL!

I think Richardson has the potential to be a great defender. However, after one season of just averaging 16.0 minutes a game, I don't think you can say he's anywhere above an average defender at this point in time.

Sixteen minutes isn't exactly chump change for a freshman, especially one who was as offensively raw as Richardson was.

That's why he played 16 minutes, because of his defense. His offensive game was probably worse than Mcbees, and definitely tatums, so the only reason he played and started some games was because he was an above average defender.

He will be ok, but he had as many blow by's per minute as anyone, including Mcbee, whom many say can't play D. His best D is inside the 15 foot range, including help D and coming from behind with an athletic block.

True, it seems like most are the victim of blow bys now, guys are just too damn fast. For a frosh though he was impressive, be junior an senior year I expect him to really be a lockdown defender.

Here is my problem with people criticizing the defense in RTL. Whether they admit it or not the coaches for all the schools with players participating injury is comcern. Coaches dont want anyone getting hurt because someone is afraid of getting shook or posterized. Its an offense league and im ok with that. I dont want some dude from LMU hatcheting Golden while he is vulnerable in a cutting set.
