I am not arguing that Wadley is not an excellent coach because he is. But the years that Temple owned Single-A basketball they did not have FAR inferior talent. The Skogen kids were exceptional talent. And they had other talented kids as well. They beat a few West TN teams during those years at the State Tourney that had a little more talent than them. But not a whole lot.

Wadley was still the girls coach when Temples run began. The Skogens weren't even heard of, and only Jake was superior talent than his opponents. Most of their best kids played Juco or NAIA, some there at TTU. Templeton went on to coach @ the university and Wadley took the boys team. Templeton won a National Title btw, Wadley would then find the skogen gems along with his own 3 sons. The whole tree can be traced back to Lefty Glasscock and Ron Bishop in the 70's. Some good teams they had.

guys - I'm 5'nothing and I beat Jordan Price 1v1 in a game of 21 by 16 points. I even dunked on him and it was so embarrassing - balls to the face embarrassing - obviously he sucks and is not worth a scholarship because I owned him.
