Every fan of a rival team I know ragged on Fulmer for running a shoddy undisciplined program. The real perception out there is that Tennessee is not a doormat anymore and it is really chapping some hineys.

Do you remember the amount of press Spikes got for poking another player in the eye? Oregon's RB, Blountpunching the white guy? The opening week press about Rich Rod's lack of record keeping on work outs? Alabama's text books, again? You think we are a "pariah" not everyone. What you see and hear is fear. Get over yourself.

BTW your hero, PF, was the "Pariah" who couldn't go to the SEC media days because he was a snitching bastard.

you actually are making my point. At NO POINT during the spikes' incident, the Blount incident, or the textbook incident was the PERCEPTION ever out there that Meyer, Kelley, or Saban were not running a disciplined program, etc. Thus, the bad image was on the player, NOT THE PROGRAM.... I don't quite understand why you included Rich Rod in your argument since I included him in mine, but that is a fair comparison. In that instance, like our own, it is the program that is receiving negative attention, not a particular player.. There is a BIG difference. And for the record, no, I won't get over myself. Whatever that is supposed to mean.

This is why I like CLK more and more every day. The NCAA is as crooked an organization out there. As long as we are running a clean program and there are no skeletons, I say keep up the talk.

If that is the case, then I agree with you. Notice how I have been very particular in saying "perception" and not "reality." some people like the "renegade" or (cough cough) "rogue" mentality....if nothign else, it certainly draws attention.

I agree 100% and the most important thing is keeping the program clean. I like the brashness as long as we can't be called out on the mat for it.
