Josh Dobbs signs with Titans

Just my opinion, but I can see this backfire on the Titans if this is just a placeholder for Tannehill move. We've wasted Henry to this point with the offense we put around him, shedding anyone that shows out rather quickly and I can see many Vol fans (a large chunk of the Titans fanbase) simply check when they release Dobbs.

I personally think one of the reasons John Robinson was fired is because of the decision making at QB. I just don't think the Titans can win with who they had at the #2 spot to start the year. He is a great athlete but you can't be a running QB in the NFL. So when you look at the future John Robinson hadn't set them up too well.

You could be, your team just won’t win a ring and you won’t last long.

The results have not looked good when he's in the game and he takes out running every time he leaves the pocket but every few can out run a defense at the level. Hard to see what Robinson was thinking with the Willis pick being a clear #2.

Good point. I am not sure what league minimum is. Used to be $450k I thought but I may be off.

NFL is a brutal business for guys like Josh who are on the bubble. I think the minimum play is up toward $575k ballpark. But, and a big BUT...who have to be on the active roster for that game. Basically, you get paid week by week for seventeen weeks.

As someone stated, if Josh's years of experience are counted, then let's say his minimum is $900k. (most of his time has been practice squad, so not sure that counts?). Anyway, on Saturday, he gets 1/17 of the $900,000. So, it is a $50k type payday.

That is great,, but not winning a lottery type salary.

Tan shill has no heart and makes stupid decisions. Willis hasn’t impressed yet either. Dobbs will be backup probably but I stand by my statement. He’s the best QB on the roster

Agree. Tannehill is garbage and I just don’t think Willis will be a good pro player.

J Rob was fired for a whole lot more than a QB situation. He has destroyed the offensive team with horrible picks poor decisions. He refused to resign OL Quessenberry and Dennis Kelly, which they need both at the tackles right now, many 1st,2nd, 3rd round draft washouts, last 3 years he blew $40-50millon dollars plus a 2nd round pick on Clowney, Vic Beasley, Julio Jones, and now Robert Woods and has gotten nothing from all 4. He refused to resign Conklin his first year, didn't resign Corey Davis and refused to resign AJ. He wasted a valuable 3rd round pick this year on Malik when he should have picked up another OL player. They have no oline talent and can't run block or protect any QB. He is up against the cap and there isn't but 3 offensive players worth starting. He has embarrassed the owner and he deservedly got fired.

Agree with all but I think the AJ situation was AJ saying I don't want to be here which might partially be a reflection on Robinson but the Willis pick was the last straw as he looks like a total reach.

Oh absolutely true on Willis. Your Oline is in shambles and you draft a project 5-6th round QB in the 3rd?? Just another huge stupid decision that finally cost him his job. 1st thru 3rd round guys should be first year contributors not project guys. Hopefully whoever the new guy is can straighten out the this mess without blowing up the team. Merry Christmas to everyone here! Im traveling tomorrow everyone be safe!

Yall fools are crazy Tannehill ain't got no heart Yada yada.Man if it wasn't for that dude would have been complete dog sh*t.Dont give me that Henry bs either cause this offense was fine without him last year. I mean technically im still annoyed we ran his gimpy butt out there instead of Foreman!

Qb has and always will be the premiere position no matter what bs narrative some wann push.Tannehill has been getting murdered this year back there and is the tops in the league under pressure.Ill add that's with a bunch of bum ass wrs that wouldn't start for most teams. Was I absoutely pissed and done with RT after the Bengals game you bet beyond.

Im also not naive to the fact we made history with the amount of injuries we had 93 and this year were close again.Tannehill was that dude back there no matter the rb,wr or choppy oline.Vrabel is a good coach nut without RT this team doesn't win that 1 seed.
