Josh Heupel needs to hand off play calling duties

when your OL can't protect your QB, you will have play calling problem. Limits the plays you can run. Nico is running for his life back there....
Elarbee AND Huep, and that whole staff are one's who let this line get to this point. Every tackle loss on the trail over last two-three years has incrementally gotten us here. Same for Guard to a lesser extent.

Absolutely 0 excuse.

few things:

the OL isnt horrific, but spraggins is the leader of the group and it shows.....sheesh he's awful
they often block well, but our wrs are soft and do a terrible job at being physical to get open
and/ or
mr conservative...joe halzle.....is scared to call plays and needs to be relieved
cam seldon needs carries downhill
squirrel white is not hyatt.....not even close
akransas picked on #6 in our secondary when they needed a first down. banks never adjusted

Idk, maybe Elarbee. Whatever the play calling dynamic is the past two years has not been working. I'm not sure if that is on the booth or the sideline but it's pretty clear there was a dropoff after Golash left.
Ive been saying that since last season but people told me "No, its because Milton doesnt allow them to open the playbook." was the excuse i was given. This looks like the exact same boring offense last year. There is no creativity with the unique scheme we run. 5 man in box, run, 6 man in box, play action pass. What happend to the bunch formation we ran in 2021? In 2022, if one of our WRs were left in man coverage, it was a deep shot. Our WRs havent been able to get wide open since 2022. We cant get separation against stiff competition anymore. Heupel needs to get this 3-3-5 figured out. It seems OU gave everyone the blueprint on how to beat this offense. Guess what!? Gators run it to!

You’ll hear the same “they showed different looks than on film” talk. This is where we need a new OC. There’s a reason it took Halzle years to get an OC position.

THis is starting to feel like last week. Where we come out somehow score 14 and then stall and watch FL pick us apart as the D withers away towards the end of the game.

Or CJH needs to just about take it over. Somebody on the OC side is working in amateur hour.
I keep beating this question to death, so sorry once more = what the heck do they practice all week ? They had 2 weeks before the Ark game, one week since that loss, and they look pathetic. they keep trying the same failed plays and bring nothing new....every week.

Seems like Golesh was, in fact, a big part of 2022. And not sure how good Heupel is without him at this point.

Unfortunately cant' argue that too much. There HAVE been some good games, but since 3rd quarter of OU, trash is an understatement

This is starting to resemble Gus down at Auburn. He started a revolving door of OC’s and play callers, which included himself. It never got on track again.
