I'm not ready to say "fire josh". there are definitely concerns, but not with this young of a team.
And that is where we are at, a young team
go look at Christian Moore early years, there was clear growth from there to junior
Christian Moore:
Fr/So (2022-23): .305/.304 AVG, 10/17 HR, OPS 1.062/1.046.
Jr (2024): .375 AVG, 34 HR, OPS 1.248.
what we needed was for this team to keep their heads above water so Josh doesn't lose them while they improve. He has lost them several times this year in the 9th inning and on Sundays (See Georgia, LSU, and Ole Miss)
I am not sure where we will end up, maybe by the conference tournament or regional
And I am done with Blaine Brown for a few weeks, turning the channel when he comes up. I don't care who his daddy is, or what sort of snacks his mom brings to Josh and the team. He is good defense, but he is a head case at the plate, and acts like a toddler who didn't get his way when he strikes out. Not interested in his stats, they are nothing but vanity stats, case in point, his best play of the year so far is a grand slam on a game we lost 16-6 to LSU. They are babying him, and they should be benching him. He should be 7th batter at best if not benched. All he does is outs, ground out, fly out, strike out.
Every time Blaine walks back to dugout after he strikes out:
Last thing, and I imagine played a large role in prompting this thread, the umpires have ruined our pitchers outings multiple times this year. And the last two games have both happened
This is unacceptable
All umps are doing is trying to control the narrative so they can call a good strike out
Inconsistent calls for balls and strikes is not part of the game, or at the least, should not longer be part of the game
These drunk fat slob umpires are dinosaurs, get rid of them now
Bring in ABS to college baseball NOW
One thing I do agree with, if a piece of garbage human ump calls my pitchers strikes balls and ball strikes I am racing out there to give him a piece of my mind... seen this crap 5-6 games this year (important sec games)
