I just noticed that our 11 commitments are from 10 states. Contrast that with Florida, whose 6 commitments are all from Florida, except 1 whose from nearby Valdosta, GA.

So I decided to peruse over to VolNation before i head to bed and i see this. I am shocked. Utterly shocked. But ecsatic. Just extremely happy that Clawson can get a big time QB without even showing what the offense will look like.

Just watched his highlight reel. There were some throws to wide open receivers, as there usually are on these things. However, there were also some really good throws where he threw a completion to a guy that was well covered. So he seems to be pretty accurate. He's also able to launch the ball even when rolling to his left (he's a righty). He does a good job throwing a deep ball and letting his receiver burn the DB to get underneath it. That'll come in handy with the kind of receivers we'll have the next few years. One thing that concerns me a bit is that it looks like on most of these highlights that he's throwing to his first receiver. So you don't get a great idea of how he goes through his progressions. I could be wrong on that one, because it's sort of hard to tell exactly what he's doing on the small video. Anyway, I think a lot of high school QBs mainly are taught to only look at one or two guys and then scramble as their third option. So I'm sure he'll learn to progress wants he gets to UT, if he hasn't already. Apparently he's a bright kid (good GPA and ACT).

once he learns not to drop the elbow when throwing, it will add alot of zip to his passes.

You might want to wait until the END of the season before you say that.

I was almost to the point of thinking Cutcliffe was riding the Manning Brothers coat tails last season. But that would be going far. I just like what the new staff is bringing to the table. Cutcliffe's playcalling had gotten kinda stale. Looked as if people knew what we were doing. His trick play calls were at bad times too. Hope Clawson isn't the same. But I get your point.

This is freakin awesome. I was expecting some under the radar linemen at first and then I saw the name and i was shocked. This is awesome.

Not to be a negavol but I was glancing at the defensive players and we have zero thus far. I know its early but what in the world is going on with Chavis?
