I disagree with ya! McBee is playing better than Richardson. How can you not see that?

Sorry, I meant to say he wasn't going to sign with a MAJOR D-1 school instead of not being recruited by D-1 schools. He was going to Missouri State.

He came here when CCM was hired! It's a fact! I don't dislike Richardson but people on here are making false claims about his talent. McBee has outplayed him in the past few games. The writing is on the wall guys!

McBee hasn't outplayed him. I don't know where you are getting this.

Richardson is a much, much better defender than McBee. He also doesn't take as many bad shots as McBee. He's also a better ball handler.

Right now, yes he does have to get those minutes and deserves them. Sure he's limited, but his defense makes up for it.

I disagree, and I don't understand why he gets so much pt as he can't shoot, dribble or pass at an SEC level. His only asset is his defense which is good but not great. His other liabilities really hurt the team on offense. He should be red shirting this season, and not starting.

If our coach continues to recruit kids like this he will gone by the end of his third season. Richardson is not SEC talent.

Who do you suggest play in his place? The man in your avatar didn't leave us many options.

Any of the Lady Vols at least they can dribble and shoot.

But, seriously there is no way I would play Richardson over McRae. Richardson has a terrible outside shot and he seems to be getting worse on offense, making him a huge liability.

I know McRae isn't the best defender, but I think he's starting to get the message to play harder on defense. If McRae had not been inserted into the game last night the Vols would have lost to UGA again.

Swiperboy should get more PT too, at least he can shoot from the outside, and rebound.

McRae has so much potential. It's something mental that's keeping him from really developing

I'm hoping Jordan is turning the corner. He's looked better lately.

Agreed. If McRae continues to develop, then Richard's will see a lot more time on the bench rather than the court, and that will really good for the Vols.

KID? I'm no KID! :jpshakehead: I'm an adult & have been for years! That's why you can't handle the truth right now! You don't see the light just like many others on these forums! I'm done replying to you!

... umm... EXCLAMATION POINT!

I DON'T know if I CAN say things as EMPHATICALLY as your posts READ, but I WILL try!

McBee offers more on the offensive end as he is capable of going on a tear, and both players work their arse off on the defensive side of things. I enjoy watching both players play, and obviously CCM sees enough in both to have them both having key roles on this team. Bottom line, if you don't like watching these type of players play, you probably won't enjoy the style of basketball and passion for defense CCM has brought to Knoxville.

I think a lot of us knew what to expect from CCM from the Keady philosophy, and the one's that really have a passion for the game and the underlying knowledge to understand what is going on off-ball can appreciate the way this team has been playing at home the past 6 home games. If we can take this game on the road, and add another capable scorer into the rotation, we will be a hard team for anyone to beat next season.

McRae has really come on lately on the defensive side. He, GULP, has played consistent on both ends of the court, has initiated offense, has played the point on defense with regularity guarding smaller players and smothering them with his length, has had a 3 block game, and has been hitting his shots from the perimeter with a good deal of success. McRae is this team's x-factor going into the SEC tourney IMO.

Richardson is always going to be a role player, but anyone that expected more had the wrong impression of him as a player. Same thing for McBee. That is fine though. If those players are our "role players" and we surround them with the right players... that is great! Geesh, let's B&M about something futile after a great win where our post players were double and triple teamed every time they touched the ball and we had the best outing by our guards of the season. WE HAD 3 GUARDS FINISH IN DOUBLE DIGITS FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL SEASON iirc!!!

Finally a positive fan.
