count me in on the "we". pearl has proven the past 2 years that he can't develop players. name me one person on the current roster that has been there more than a year that has improved.

My understanding was that it also was a Nike versus Adidas thing. Didn't that play into it as well?

I have also enjoyed reading that the Memphis area kids were instructed to not go to UT for camp by NIKE who sponsored their AAU team. As a result they all went to the Memphis camp and have subsequently signed with Tiger High.

We still have multiple problems but Southern Cal with a point guard is pretty good and will upset a few teams this year. I watched them dismantle 20th ranked UNLV.

It is amazing the difference a really good point guard can make. Shelby would have been extremely sweet.

I think people forget what UT basketball looked like before Pearl got here. It would be extremely difficult to win every game. He's given us great games and great memories and many more to come. we will be back in the Tourny again this year. I like Pearl and hope he stays for many years. IMO his player development is fine...... TIFWIW

I like him too...Got kinda sick of 14-17 seasons yet many people here seem to forget those days...They would sure remember them if Pearl up and left!...He turned UT basketball around...He's certainly not perfect but nobody is.

Worldwide Wes gave her some good talking points. Problem is she is comparing a talent like her son has in john wall under coach cal, with a junior college throwaway in maze.

Bruce Pearl has never had a stud PG to develop. If he can hang onto Ware then the Nike pimps and whores will not be able to keep us down and they will either see a stud PG go to the NBA from TN or they will be able to validate their canard that Pearl cannot develop NBA talent at PG.
