JP Prince cannot shoot

Prince plays two ways, either like a figgin genius, or like a total dumb a.

He sometimes takes over games in which we DON'T win without him. But some times he just makes DA mistakes.... Fore example, the foul on the 3 points which resulted in a 4 pnt play, BUT then he blocked a 3 on one of the next plays which turns out to seal the deal.... He just VERY inconsistent and should NEVER EVER shoot the ball. He should always be the LAST option for a shot on the court.

ABSOLUTE FAIL for the OP. sure JP isnt the greatest jump shooter but he is so valuable to our team. Wouldn't have beat kansas or memphis without him. I used to be the biggest JP hater but he has absolutely stepped up this year

true, but he should never ever, ever shoot the ball. He is not there for his jump shot. This would be no different if B. Maze was getting down on the low block and trying to back PF/C's down. That's not B. Maze's game, and jump shooting is NOT J.P.'s game and should NVER do it EVER.

I really don't know what the purpose of these type threads are? Maybe people are hoping JP will quit or tell coach not to play him.

JP lead the team with steals last year, he is one of our best defenders, he is our best slash driver, he ia also the best junk rebounder on the team. He finds scorers when they are open.
Can he shoot? Nope. But he knows that. JP will take a couple of wide open shots early, and if he hits, he tries more. If not, he won't take many more if any.
Knowing what your limitations are is a sign of maturity.

How many of you Prince haters were this hard on J.Howell, who couldn't do any of the other things that Prince does, and was something like 3/28 from 3, but still played all the time?

JP is a big part of our success. We need him and I am sure he would appreciate the support of the fans.

Yea, we need him big time... but we don't need him to shoot. He needs to know, he is not allowed to shoot. Shaq is a great player, and will go down as a top 10 NBA player easy, does that mean I want him taking jumpers? That's not his game, and neither is it J.P.'s. If I had to pick someone to take a last second shot for a national title between J.P. and Shaq, it's a no brainer Shaq FTW.

I actually cringe every time JP makes a jumper, because I know it will only result in more attempted (missed) jumpers. So in the long run, it's a net loss because, he could have passed that first shot, and a bucket could have been made by someone else. Instead, he shoots it and makes it, great, short term. Because now he's C-lo and takes another and misses it. He wouldn’t have taken the second shot if he hadn’t made the first, and someone else could have taken the second shot and potentially (more likely) made it.

In summary, It is more likely any two other people on the team would make two baskets than JP making two baskets.
