Gonna hold you to that. And for the record, I don't know JRM. Don't even have a dog in the fight. But I know a stupid post when I see one. Jalen Reeves-Maybin is NOT going to get recruited over.

I'm not gonna say that I don't think Bates has more natural talent and athleticism than JRM, but week one or two?

JRM has a huge advantage because he'll have been in the system for longer and will likely be in better shape than Bates early on.

Bates has the talent to start early, but if I had to make a a guess, I'd say Bates start showing up on the field more and more by mid or mid to late season.

JRM will be starting every game, barring injury. I think you're really underestimating him.
