BamaOnLine Publisher Tim Watts: "Bama staff is still evaluating him. More focused on 2019 than 2020."What’s the word on bama sites?
He’s in JUCO for academic reasons. Doubt he graduates early. Most who spend only one season in those ranks, are transfers in good academic standing...like Kamara. Justin Martin benefitted from not graduating high school and getting his equivalency in his one season...a loophole. Is there a rule you have to play 2 at juco or could we be selling that we can get him in this year?
He did lose a year of eligibility tho. Played that season and enrolled at UT as a sophomore.I think he got around it because he realized he wasn't going to quailify during his senior year of HS, "dropped out", got his GED, and immediately enrolled in CC. That let him get enough credit hours to qualify while still not losing a year of eligibility
So we need him to forfeit his degree and take his test to get his GED? /sHe’s in JUCO for academic reasons. Doubt he graduates early. I think it's too early to tell if Bama will push for him in the 2020 class. Since Juco grads only have two years of eligibility, Bama usually doesn't take them unless there's a hole in the 2-deep they think that Juco player can fill very well. And for that same reason, Juco players typically want to (and should) go somewhere there's a very good chance of being a starter or at least in the 2-deep right away.
Yeah I worded that poorly. Didn't he enroll his senior year of HS? So he got to spend the required 2 years of CC, but didn't lose eligibility for the 1 year that was during HS?
