So it sounds like Miller has only one year left to play so this won't take away a scholarship next year. Let me know if I'm wrong. Looks like this can't hurt.

By my count, I think Miller has two years remaining. He redshirted in '08, played for Pitt in '09, and played for Midland in '10.

Probably the best signing in CCM's first class, over and above Richrdson because Miller is a frontcourt player. He'll have an impact next season for sure. I'm always wary of the "only played organized basketball for 3 years" type of players, but this guy was a Pitt signee originally, so he's got the potential to be stellar.

CCM certainly isn't holding any scholarships back for next season, is he? With 5 signed, none of which are 1 year players if I remember correctly, how many schollies will that give him next season?

Jesus, Pearl put that guy on scholarship?
When McBee signed here, the plan was always for McBee to go on scholly his sophomore year because we didnt have one to offer to him for his freshman season. I hope Cunonzo runs him off, he literally brings nothing to the table.

He will remain on scholarship this season and then the scholarship will likely be pulled for next season. We will need his scholarship to bring in better talent.

I doubt very seriously that his scholarship will be pulled. Even though most of ya'll are right and he is not playing like a D-1 shooting guard. That just doesn't happen very often. IMO

That kid doesn't need to be playing D1 ball, much less for a high major D1 team.

I don't see how Martin will have any other choice. He can't pass on signing improved talent to keep McBee on scholarship.

I have to agree with you. Only way he leaves would be a coach telling him he'd never play and basically force him out, but that would be hard to do because if he would be going into his senior year by next off season and have to go to a DII to play which is a much bigger jump than going from D1-A to DI-AA in football, because there is over 300 D-1 basketball schools. Flat out removing a guys scholarship is a PR disaster, especially with a local boy, and recruits dont like to see that. Most likely scenario is he'll warm our bench for his final two seasons.

It can't be too big of a PR disaster because Cal did it when he went to KY and Dwight Miller had it done to him or we wouldn't be signing him now. Those two schools seem to be doing just fine.

Jesus, Jimmy Hyams really is a day late & dollar short on everything. He just posted this on Twitter:

UT has offered 6-8 F Dwight Miller of Midland (Tx) JUCO. Don't be surprised if he signs today. He would be 5th signee under Counzo Martin
