Unless we want to load up on grad transfers and George/Davis level projects, you gotta pay off the bill Butch ran up eventually. Forget which class it was that Clemson signed 19. They got ahead of the problem before it became one.

The only way to “find a way” to take more is to cut a current commit loose, therefore opening up a spot.

The number is the number. There are no more mechanisms for massaging the numbers.

Truth! Cox may flip to Auburn and Middleton is another candidate to gitshirt. That’s two spots there. Don’t see anyone else on the roster I’d be ok with losing but Anthony Harris may be another candidate as the season wears along.

Depending om who wants in, I could see Clemons as an option. Not knocking the kid, but if someone the staff sees as a better fit wants in, I could see him losing his spot.

Possibly...I just think they really value him, but they seem to value every player they accept a commit from.

If no one decommits or gets encouraged to decommit and there are only 5 spots left, who do you predict they'll get.

1. Payton
2. Wright
3. Couch
4. McCullough
5. Moore

Curry goes to AU, Bogle stays in the state of Florida, and not enough room for Jaydon Hill and Bush.

Now if guys get processed or they can take a full 25, then I reserve the right to change my predictions.

I think VQ has alluded too much to Couch and Wright for me not to think that there will be enough on the field progress this year to sell them on the future. I think Mom wins out with wanting Bogle close to home even though she likes Pruitt. TIFWIW

Pruitt really doesn't like the talent on the roster.

JUCOs & grad transfers galore show that he wants respectability & excitement right away.

Outside Trey, Ty, Quez, Nigel, and maybe JG, Butchs last two classes were miserable.

If Middleton does what he is capable of you won't be saying gitshirt come NSD. Kid has 5 star talent level just a 3 star brain so far. He could be a good blue shirt candidate though

Think we’ve officially recruited him? If so, no. If he sticks I’d rather he count against 19. Would love to see what this staff could do in 20 with a full count.

Not sure his recruitment hasn't been publicized much so comes off as one that they could be using in that scenario. Either way if the light ever comes on for him I want it to be in our uniform as we could use an instant impact DE next yr

My understanding was that to blueshirt, they couldn’t officially visit the campus or have received an in-home. But my understanding had been that they had ended blueshirting altogether sooo?
