June TN camps

I quoted two recent rival posts (above) that make it seem like he will be here as on a unofficial, not for a camp (there is a difference) but couldn't find an article saying that he will be here for camp, though i didn't search too thoroughly and that might be the case.

If he's coming here on a date that camp is being held, then he's coming here for camp. You're splitting hairs.

Whether he participates or not is not clear. There's certainly nothing indicating that he will not be.

Hailes is a vol
Quarles's dad won't let him be a vol....ala Marlon brown
Ash will be a gator in my opinion

Broussard, Harris, Hailes will be solid
We will probably get Kilgo or someone else too...

Sorry if it has been stated earlier but why would quarles's dad not let him come here?? was his dad a Cock? or what.

Yes.

He also has some health issues, so he wants him close to home.

I'm still confident Orgeron can recruit Papa Quarles to the good side though.

Yes, technically they are all "visiting" but a lot of kids come go to camps to learn from the coaches, and we have Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron so obviously a lot of people are coming to our camp. Also many kids come because they want to earn offers. But usually kids on unofficial visits spend time touring the campus, (not playing football as they do in camps) talk to the coaches, and a lot spend time in the film room.... So do you get the difference between an unofficial and a camp now smart a$$?

An unofficial visit in a visit to campus that the recruit pays for himself.

All of the recruits that visit us this summer, will be here on an unofficial visit.

Yes, as i said earlier, all recruiting campus are technically "visiting", but recruits do much different things on unofficials and camps.

Does anyone know what skills testing will given during camp (40, vertical jump, bench reps, etc..)?
My son attended last year as an 8th grader. They did 40 timing and vertical jump. In weight room they just concentrated on correct technique and different exercises for the position played. He can't attend this year, conflicts with summer conditioning at school.

For the actual day, I believe its just like an entire combine (40, shuttle, vertical, bench, squat, ..etc) followed up by some individual drills and 1 on 1s. I'll be able to find out more on the 2nd because I've got a couple people I know going.

The athletes at this camp should post some impressive numbers. I can't wait for the reports and results. I would love to be there to watch.

the coaches have been working n 2011 already. We are just catching up with 2010, Lane talked about having the recruiting machine so tuned up that the rrcuirters start looking at the sophomores and the freshman. Apparently Lane offered Matt Barkley a scholly when he was a freshman!!!!

"I am coming in for their camp that week," Scroggins said. "I will certainly do some camp stuff, but I will be there for some sightseeing to get a better feel for campus. I am looking for a place that feels like home to me and that will be my main reason for coming to town."
