Trump is not a former politician. He still holds campaign-like rallies, where he teases a run in 2024. All signs indicate that he is still the de facto leader of the Republican Party. He is relevant to most conversations which involve politics.

Lots of people on VN are still spouting "Killary" and "Arkancide" conspiracy theories. Any mention of Michelle Obama results in a "Michael" comment. Unhealthy obsession is a two way street.

Gawd remember all of 2020 when it was nonstop conspiracy theories about how she was going to have a convention coup and replace Biden on the ticket?

After seeing these posts back to backs I began thinking it was in my head. So I searched the forum for Trump and bowlbrother’s name. Nope…not in my head. First 10 pages go back to around May of this year.

Also searched Killary by no poster in particular. First 10 pages go back to 2019. Nope, not in my head.

Kinda wish she had. We probably wouldn't be in quite as bad a spot as a country. Either Drumph would have won or she would have and I think she would have been better than Biden.

A lot of this stuff will pass. I think the systemic problems that have us debating the merits of those three are probably going to be around for a while.

For 4 years as I trashed Trump I heard "but Obama..." nearly every time, despite the fact that I spent 8 years trashing Obama, and not a one of you cared that dudes were hung up on Obama.

Can you imagine if a white Republican Mayor unveiled this as the commemoration for black America on Juneteenth? He would have to resign before the day was over and there would be looting and rioting!

People can "but Obama" or "but Trump" if they want to. However there are times when it can reach a level of obsession. I've seen it quite a bit from the "but Trump" crowd on here.

Most of the time people were simply pointing out things that democrats were okay under Obama's presidency but were suddenly outraged when a Republican is in office. The "What about Obama" was often a fair question. The response was usually "Whataboutism" or "Obama is not in office, Trump is".

Now if you guys truly practice what you preach then you will focus on the old white racist who is the current president and that many in this forum voted for. Any mention of Trump can be shrugged off as "Whataboutism" or "Trump is not in office, Biden is". So let's talk about Biden from here on out.
