Just Announced....

I'm a little surprised - thought there would a fine at least to save face.

This just adds fuel to the fire. Smooth move Slive.

We all know 1 of 2 things will happen now.... 1. Is if the media now goes to Kiffin and asks what he thinks about the SEC decision not to enforce some kind of discipline on Urban.... which he will then put himself in a bad situation causing a fine/suspension.... or 2. Is he will wait till a game later on the season for UT and then will use the same tactic that Urban did and he will then be fined/suspended.

*But I do believe if #2 happens, I believe Kiffin will then appeal to the NCAA and then the SEC will be in a huge mess.

I actually did really expect him to at least get a fine. I figured there was no way Slive could get out of at least fining him.
wow.

So now Kiffin speaks out about about Meyer not getting punished and Slive hits him with a suspension. It's just not fair.

I think the whole rule about criticizing officials is a crock anyway. What happened to "Freedom of Speech"? But if slime wants to pick on CLK for stating facts then he needs to do the same to CUM. :banghead2:

It's a bad reason, but let's face it...it all comes down to money. As long as CUM is bringing in the NC's and is in line to maybe do it again this year, he is going to get a free pass from Slive.

I think this helps us. Now those reprimands Kiffin got seem like total jokes, as does any future action by Slive. Also, this sets us up as the ultimate underdog in the eyes of ESPN, etc. Us vs. the SEC. And you know how everyone loves an underdog, especially vs the hated SEC.

If I were Kiffin, I'd be tempted to do exactly that. He'd spend a whole straight week rubbing it in Slive's face on every show on ESPN, being painted as the maverick (if we can use last year's political buzzword) of the SEC. You can't buy the kind of publicity that would generate.

Too bad the Ole Miss game is coming up, though. Sort of need the coach on the sidelines for that one.

You can't buy the kind of publicity Meyer is getting right now either.

The media is now soundly behind Kiffin, or if not behind him they are turning on Slime. What a Joke!!! Mr. Burns strikes again! If he suspends CLK or any other coach now, he will get BBQ'd! What a Dork!

Kiffin needs to let loose on Slive and Meyer. We can make it without him this week.

only problem is that with Slive, the paperwork to reprimand Kiffin will get "misplaced" until sometime next week, then we'll be w/out him against Ole Miss

We'll just make sure our appeal paper work is mailed the day after the comments. lol

Kiffin already said his piece about how he wasn't going to hold his breath until Meyer got suspended. I think this just makes his point even more clear.

Like he said....he got a letter in the mail...but Florida and Alabama are still undefeated

The best thing that can happen, is.....the media is getting behind us and just like the Spikes situation the pressure will build on Slive until he gets a spine or is forced out

What Kiffin is selling is already extremely popular with recruits, and now you're starting to see the national media come around on him too.

What Meyer is selling is popular only with Florida fans. Everyone else in the country thinks he's an a-hole.
