I think this discussion of a "cure" is a bit polly-annish.

Most cures are not a magic pill and "poof" you cancer is gone. It would more likely be treatment that would constitute a revenue stream.

Additionally, there are some many forms of cancer and outcomes of cancer that to speak of a cure as an endgame is unrealistic.

There are enough diseases out there that Big Pharma can cure away and still make money.

Yeah I bet you don't believe that the government didn't invent aids to infect the inner city!
