Just heard from my source again. Strong probably isn't coming, and Fedora and Gundy don't seem interested at this point either. Look out for possibly Al Golden, Dana Holgorsen, Mike Dantonio, or possible Mike Riley from Oregon State.

Not that I fully trust this, but that would be extremely sad if true. Another coaching search where we miss out on our top 5-6 coaches would be devastating.


I'm really pulling for Gundy and Fedora, and still wondering why haven't heard anything at all on Gary Patterson, as to whether we've called and he declined to interview or whatever the case. No reason why he shouldn't top our list of coaches.

Don't get me wrong...Gundy, Fedora, and Strong are all still possible...it is just starting to look unlikely at this point, so the AD has backup plans in place. I was told we put out a feeler for Patterson but he wasn't interested.

Patterson won't leave TCU and after Hamilton passed on him the last time around Tennessee left a bad taste in his mouth. In the unlikely event that he ever leaves TCU, it darn sure won't be to coming to Knoxville.

My 4 AM source is my dog. Thought she had some Gruden info, but it turned out she just wanted to go outside. Couple minutes later there' s frantic scratching on the door, I'm all excited thinking she heard something while out there, let her in, and nothing...she just looks at me.

You're telling me that Larry freaking Fedora, the FOOTBALL coach of ACC BASKETBALL powerhouse North Carolina isn't interested in coming to TENNESSEE, a FOOTBALL SCHOOL in the greatest conference in America???

I have nothing against you, but I'm not sure I can believe this. That's also mostly because I don't WANT to believe it. Why would he not want to come here? WHY?

And what an utterly sad, pathetic list of 4 coaches that is. If any of those 4 not named Mike Riley is hired at Tennessee, I'm going to emotionally detach myself from the games and the school. I'll watch, but I won't pay for anything Tennessee. I can't support that.

I just can't wrap my mind around 5-6 coaches not wanting to come to Knoxville. What's not to like about the job?

Read your last paragraph to see why coaches don't want to come here....you guys have labeled most prospects failures before they start ....

I don't think anyone but Dave hart and haslam knows what's going on. Wouldent suprise me if its fedora are Gundy ,strong, Bo pelini are someone we haven't heard about.

At this point, either you or your "source" is just throwing **** on the wall. Probably a good idea to either stop making this **** up, or stop listening to your "source"
