Just heard this tonight

Skeeter on here last night said golden and Davis were out. I think Gruden is out. Skeeter thought Gundy was just trying to get away raise to stay at osu

Paterson stays at tcu. Mullins to Colorado.

So I think Charlie or Jimbo make the most sense.

But it changes every day. Hart will interview some dudes in new York this week. I bet we have one in place by friday

I would agree, but if none of the guys you mentioned don't work out, I wouldn't mind seeing Fedora being in consideration.

Poor Hart, he leaked info to certain 20 something yr old team members who could not wait to tell friends who then tell church members...And I thought Hart was a professional. Stupid me.

A man named Fisher did great things in Nashville and another man named Fisher gives me great hope about the Hill.

Fisher is better at recruiting and coaching than 12 other coaches in the SEC, so would be pumped with this hire and this is something I see happening unlike Gruden

Only thing nit sure about is salary. TN can pay more than the 2.7 mil he is making now but can they afford the buy out too, 2.5 mil

I'm not in the "know" as many of you, but I think it would be interesting to see a 3-column table. The first column is the coaches name. The second is "Why he would come here" and the third is "Why he won't come here". That type of effort is probably close to what Hart & Co. are going through after a certain collection of requirements are met ("winner in the SEC", "HQ exp", etc.)

I don't think Hart wants this to drag out, neither does he want it to go through several iterations of offer made / offer rejected.

I'm on the fence about Fisher. She's hot and all, but she did go crazy and shoot her boyfriend's wife. So, there's that.

:p

Seeing what Mora did in a short time, makes me favor him.

Jim Mora is a loser and a tool. I watched him coach three years and almost 50 games in Atlanta. Whatever happened at UCLA this year was dumb blind luck, because he's an idiot.

I'd be good with Fisher...he's got a short sample size with Florida State and SEC experience but I think it would be a great hire for UT...

I have a good friend at church that goes to UT. He played football in high school, but never got to play in college. Anyways, he's made a few friends on the UT football team. We were talking about the coaching search and I was talking about how we're probably gonna end up with Golden and he said he didn't think so. He then said that one of his friends, currently on the team, said Fisher has been hired. Don't shoot the messenger, this is just what I heard from him tonight :corso:

Nice sign to go along with your conversation you had at CHURCH.

Is anyone else sick and tired of these children making up stories and posting them on this message board. Grow up children ... if you don't have anything meaningful to say just keep quiet. Geesh !!!

I would be ambitious enough to say we may have someone in place by Wednesday or Thursday, given the rapid nature that he's gone through these interviews will the top of the list candidates...but Friday certainly seems reasonable.

Well I agree with that--guy's got a good OC I think that's helping with what he's done this season.

Jumbo is in the middle of one of the best recruiting areas in the country at a school that has a great heritage and commitment to football. But still can't beat UF and NC St. Plays in a softer conference and still has a hard time dominating.
Strong is a good guy a pretty good recruiter, yet to prove he can take Louisville to top of their weak league and dominate.
Gundy would be great but not going to happen.

Some on here say Mora is an ahole and idiot. I don't know. But when I lived in Miami I heard it everyday about Saban and often about Jeff Fisher.
So how did Mora turn it around so fast? Some say dumb luck, maybe but it sounds a lot better than the luck we have been having.

I know football players, and i have yet to spread any crap, and I can verify your friend is full of crap, football players know very little more than we do.

I would rather have Charlie Strong ... don't really know why but he just seems like the right guy at the right time in his career. Whoever it is will have my full support as a Vol fan, of course. Just hope that Hinshaw, Graham, and Pittman stay.

I would love it if Hart hired Strong but I think Strong will stay at UL. From the interview I read on his thread it sounds like he is content at UL. I really hope I am wrong, FWIW.
