Just like last year.

I'm still here and we still played like crap tonight. We should have beat this team by 30 pts., but instead we let em hang in the game until 6 min. left.
I guess Sagarin is an idiot.
His stat machine said we'd win by 6. Dummy missed it by 1.

and on their senior night, no less. When they have several seniors who played their guts out.

They're still a garbage team with little talent that has lost a freakin' ton of games in a row. Yes, a team with every thing on the line like the VOLS, should beat a garbage team like AU by 20-30 pts. even on there own court.

You pretty much cemented your stupidity with this comment.

How many teams have beaten auburn at auburn by 20-30 this year, I'll wait...

I would say that now you're just being obstinate, but that wouldn't be true. You're being obstinate and ignorant. Let's be real, you don't want CCM to do well, and you essentially won't care how we do, because there will always be something for you to complain about.

If we beat Mizzou, you'll be nowhere to be found.

If we string a couple together in the SEC tourney, you won't show up until we lose, and you'll make absurd claims like "They should have won the whole tournament. The SEC is down this year."

Then if we make the big dance you'll wait until we get knocked out, and say how terrible CCM is, how we are an obviously mediocre team that shows no improvement, and that we would have won the game with Bruce.

All of this will be while blindly refusing to recognize that we are playing without Maymon, and as a result of this our offense during the beginning of the season struggled mightily with Stokes learning how to play without the support down low that Maymon provided.

I love these threads that expose these idiots on VN. Hilarious. They rarely come back to absorb their beating.

UK beat Auburn by 10...,with Noel and game was closer with 5 minutes left. Just sayin.

It's basketball and a road win is good.

I pity some of you people.

Auburn has lost 3 games at home by 20+. Kentucky (with Noel) Murray State and Florida.

We start extremely slow and lose a bunch of games. Then we get hot and look like we might salvage our season with an NCAA bid. Then we tank it again and have to settle for the NIT (National Irrelevant Tournament). This is a pathetic showing against AU and UGA before that. I am fast coming to the definitive conclusion that Martin absolutely sucks as a motivator.

OP is a turd. Just another armchair evaluator of coaching talent that comes on here to ***** and moan when games get tight.

This isn't a great team. It has more to do with the talent than with the coaching. This team has heart though, and the fact that UT has played its way into the NCAA conversation seems to be lost on 87Vol. This is not a team that has a good chance of running deep in the tourney.

Take the road win within the conference and start game planning for Missouri.

There's nothing wrong with some discussion about the team's shortcomings, but these kind of posts are moronic.

Yep and this team is different from last year. Aside from 2 UGA losses, this team has not lost to any other bad teams. Played good teams very tight even on the road. This team has flaws but getting to the tourney is huge.

87 and 85 are about the same. Clueless and panicky. No wonder I keep getting them mixed up.
Can you imagine being on a team with one of these guys and he's freaking out 2 minutes into a game?
Stick with video games.

It's hard to post anything during a basketball game since it's old news when you hit "POST QUICK REPLY". The game is too fast paced!
Being a true VOL FAN, I listen to the VOLCAST on the radio while also watching it on TV.
Many times, the radio is one play ahead of the TV. (It drives others crazy).

the sad thing is just like last year, this year, and next year this guy will still be clueless and sharing his opinion for us all to see

I can't tell if everyone's arguing with a kid or just some dude begging for attention...

Doesn't matter anyway. Our guys won; we live to fight another day.

That arena sounded like it had about twelve fans making all the noise. Those days of Barkley & Persons have passed on.

OP you must understand.

Road wins (especially conference road games) are very tough to get in any league (and really any SPORT) no matter who you're playing. It's not realistic to expect a team to just blow away it's opponent on their home court. It rarely happens, and there's a reason for that.

Yo 87, I'm one of the most pessimistic posters on VN and even I think you should tone it down some. That being said I do agree we have played poorly lately.

The only thing that confuses me about these threads, is the fact that people actually respond to the guy. Wouldn't ignoring the guy work better, instead getting all butthurt and arguing with him? We are one high strung fan base.
