There's no doubt in my mind he want us not to make the NCAAT so he can gloat about being right.

And even if we do make it, unless we make the Sweet 16 he'll complain about not making it far, our seeding sucked, blah blah blah.

im telling you guys.....there are people that want martin to fail simply because he is black......i know a few folks that will never accept him no matter what he does.

I'm not saying there aren't idiots out there that actually don't like him because he's black, but I don't think that's the case for the vast majority of those who seem to want him to fail. I think it's simply because he's not Bruce Pearl.

i know its weird, it seems like there were a lot of pearl haters on here when he got busted.........now its like all that stuff is forgotten........hard to believe there are some people that actually think he will be back.

I love what he did for the program overall. One of my greatest UT memories was on the plane with the pep band after losing to Michigan State in the Elite 8 and Bruce came to the back of the plane and shook every pep band member and cheerleader's hand apologizing for not getting it done. However, that being said, I would not vote to bring him back. If the administration decide he's the man for the job if Martin, god forbid, doesn't work out, he'll have my support. But his time is done in my opinion and rightfully so.

The Vols got hot at the end. Depending on where they are ranked in the SEC tourney, they need (desparately!) at least 2 wins to possibly make the BIG DANCE, otherwise, they might get an NIT.

Wow, just reading some of the replies to the OP makes me wonder who is out of their minds more....negative/realistic Vol fans or positive/hopeful Vol fans.

Spartacavolus...if Tennessee gacks up the first game of the SECT and doesn't make it into the dance are you going to apologize for callig the OP a clown? Probably not.

Last year's result is what it is and Tennessee is in the exact same position this year...only as good as the next win or loss. Tennessee's status for the big dance hinges upon not what they just did, but what they will do next. If they lose, more than likely they're out. If they win, maybe they get in.

I'm hopeful Tennessee makes it, but the attacks on people's opinions on this board are as amazing as the original opinions.

This year is in no way the same as last year. We lost too many bad games and were 70-80+ RPI at the end of the year last year. This team has a much better resume.

I am not one to call people names, but this site is truly amazing. I can't believe how so many negative people there are, and people hang on to one or two bad losses when the season is 30 games. I am a really competitive person and take losing hard, but I cannot believe the things that are written.

Apologize for what. I don't make predictions. OP posts like he is a complete clown that freaks out with knee jerk reactions the minute something goes wrong in a game, but doesn't show after a W. This site is full of them.

The OP started his own personal fire-Cuonzo thread based on the assumption that we were going to lose to Auburn, only with 10 minutes left in the game. That we ended up winning. The OP deserved to have shiat heaped on him.
