Rush is a douche.
That being said, to require anyone to do something he does not want to do is the opposite of freedom.
Most people don't believe in the idea of 'give me liberty or give me death' anymore do they?
For what it is worth, I just went online and looked up the generic version of Yaz, which my wife used to take, and you can get a 6 month supply for $72, without insurance.
Most people I know want women to have birth control. That does not mean that most people I know think that 1) your insurance plan should be forced to carry it or 2) the government should supply it to you.
The panel that testified to congress was a panel of conservative religious groups that were testifying about the religious liberty issue. There was no reason to discuss whether or not bc was good for a woman's health during that conversation. The talk was not about health, it was about freedom. Why are people misrepresenting that? When hearings are held about medical issues, are people who are against medical care for religious reasons brought in to testify? Of course not. Is it wrong that they are being left out of the conversation? Of course not, because the conversation is not about their freedom, it is about healthcare. Now, when the talk turns to forcing people to have healthcare or pay for it, then it becomes relevant for them to talk. And vice versa.
