Just rewatched the Tennessee/Bama game

It’s amazing the emotional swings a person can have even when you know the outcome. I’m glad Bryce Young is gone and I hope our defense has improved. 🤣
Yes. The trip from despair after we gave up the scoop and score late as well as the called back Bama interception because of pass interference to the jubilation after that winning field goal was short and steep

I’ve watched it several times. Best UT/UA game in my lifetime. If we get one in that crap hole Tuscaloosa, they’ll be a meltdown. Man that town is dangerous.
A victory in Tuscaloosa just might be the tsunami that washes Saban into retirement. He won’t retire because he wants to. He’ll retire because the spoiled whiny arrogant entitled bandwagon fan base that IS Bama football will be so vocal about it he’ll be forced to say, I’m done with this lot.
When they can’t blame the refs, they’ll blame him.

Watching last years games, I've been sobered at how often we benefited from the other team's key injuries. Expect this season to be a tougher row to hoe. A lot of things fell our way (for a change) last season.

We had our injuries too! Secondary was the wound that scheme and bandaid couldn't heal. Good teams find a way to win and we did with alot of heart and grit

I remember everyone prior to the game hoping Bryce Young would miss it due to injury. I was in the small minority that wanted him to play. I thought we had a fairly good chance to win so I didn't want any excuses from Bama fans had we won with Young out. We still wouldn't be hearing the end of it and in the end we got an all time classic and one of, if not the best, games of the year. What a night.

My poor dog.

He spent about half that game cowering in fear in the corner because I was telling at the TV.

The other half the game he was in heaven as snacks were falling from the sky when the Vols were doing well
So what your saying is even the dog was experiencing emotional swings just like every other vol fan.

We win that game last year by 4 scores without Young and Gibbs in it.

Exactly, Young was so dynamic I found myself shaking my head several times. It had to be frustrating for our D they had him sacked several times but he did his Houdini escape and by that time he would look up not only avoid a loss but complete a pass. IMO he should have won Heisman he was best in college football..
I don't think they get anywhere near the QB production this year. I think they will rotate QBs Simpson (pass) and Milroe (run), although the transfer from Notre Dame Buchner a longshot IMO.

Say what you will, but after watching this game and several others played by Young, I think he was the best QB in the nation last year. Hooker was rally good, as were the Ohio St. guy and several others, but Young was the best.

So without my making a thread about it, I see everyone talking about the bama fl and Clemson games glowingly…as they should. Did the loss in that SC crap hole bring the season out of the storybooks and into the “great season” category for anyone else? For me honestly, it did. Maybe the storybook season happens this year. Fingers crossed.
