It’s very clear the committee is picking teams based on quality of wins and who they view as better. The only exception is TCU. They would be huge underdogs vs any of the top 8. They are P5 undefeated. If they lose, they are toast. Total vanity ranking.

Last year was last year. I wouldn't fixate on it like I've seen in a few posts. UT's considerably better this year and UG looks to be about the same. A rematch should be a good game.

The way this season has been going, don't be surprised if LSU pulls a rabbit out of its arse and wins the SECCG. Then it's lights out for UT's playoff hopes. Still, if at 11-1 at seasons end, that would be one for the ages.

If LSU wins the SECCG it won't be by much, and with their two losses they'd probably end up behind UG and us. I'd still like our chances.

We will likely get beat a second time, but I am all in for the small chance we best them. I believe in our 22 team.

Face it, we play them again ALL the pressure in on Georgia. We would be expected to lose-handily.

There were a lot of factors working against us in round 1. Road game, weather, blah blah blah. The pressure was on us though. We were the #1 team in the country-and the new kids on the block to boot.

We play again, they will be expected to dispatch of us easily. We get going early, the pressure is gonna mount even further on them to get going. When you are desperate, bad things happen. We play our game-win or lose I'm cool with it, but I want it to be playing OUR game. Not that mess in Athens a few weeks ago.

Ill also be honest and say i think UGa would beat UT handily again if they played again. They have five stars backing up five stars. And UT’s secondary play is still awful. They damn well should win the NC every year. Just as Saban pretty much should have. Bama still has five stars backing up five stars with a heisman qb and is just “pretty good” this year.

I don’t hope TN fails in reaching the cfb playoff. As I’ve stated before on this forum, a GA vs TN rematch would be great football. So the CFB fan in me very much looks forward to this game.

However, as a GA fan, I will admit that TN excels in the one facet of the game that could lead them to victory over GA. IMO that is TN’s ability to score quickly with explosive plays. I don’t think we will be beaten by an offense that thrives on 10-15 play drives. Our defense is too good, and will usually give up field goals at most. But an offense that scores on 1 or 2 plays is dangerous. That is what gives me concern with TN.

To me the biggest game changer before was that we had a semi healthy Jalen Carter. He allowed us to pressure Hooker. Can we again? Hopefully time will tell. If not, this game could be a shootout so long as Bennet plays well.

I’m not afraid of playing TN again, but certainly concerned.

Honestly, we tackled very well on the short throws and either played well on the long throws or got lucky with Hendon overthrowing. Some due to pressure for sure. It’s a different game with different schemes if we go at it again. If Hendon has time it certainly changes things. Our dbs are very good, but so are your receivers.

In the past six years Kirby has taken UGA to the playoffs three times. That looks like a pattern and not luck. He must be doing something right it must be building something fairly strong especially after losing 15 players in NFL last year and still being ranked number one this year
