You are correct but you would need 51 votes to throw out the filibuster I believe.
 
He was. But if you needed a majority of all members then he would have needed 51. Instead it was 50 yes 48 no’s and 2 no votes. Pence would have had to have voted to break the tie. He didn’t vote.

It’s happening. Only way it doesn’t happen is if Grassley refuses to move it out of committee. Even then, there’s a procedural workaround.
 
I would call it more than a consolation.
To be revered for your lifetime of work.....doesn't get much better.

The problem with people like RGB is they stick around too long and it diminishes their accomplishments.
 
That's the first time I've ever seen a hint of humanity from him. And It didn't appear to be sarcastic.
The cynic in me thinks that was choreographed. I'm sure the importance of a dignified response to her passing has been discussed. The last thing you want to show is happiness.
