It’s a natural escalation from the McConnel rule. Which was a natural escalation of the nuking of the filibuster. It’s coming. I could almost see Roberts stepping down to restore the 2016 status quo and prevent it, but not quite.
I don't know about 90, but you better not lose both the White House and the Senate on November 3rd.
This doesn't make any sense. RBG was a leftist extremist. If you replace one leftist extremist with another, you haven't changed anything. If you replace a leftist extremist with a far right extremist... you have fundamentally changed the court.I think this helps Trump with the middle of the road average person voter. They don’t want another extremist on the court and that’s what Biden would give us.
I haven't noticed the same cosmic injustices. I've only noticed a horrible national mistake and the unfortunate but foreseeable aftereffects.

To me, it’s not catering to two ideologies. I believe if you’re a true constitutionalist, some issues come down, what would be considered at one time or another, slightly left. For instance, gay marriage. While I can disagree with it from a personal or religious standpoint, it’s really not the place of the federal govt to insert itself, IMO. Other issues come down right of center. I would like a justice that issues a ruling in line with the constitution and limiting govt intrusion.
Gay marriage is not a left a right question but simply a question of do two consenting adults have the right to establish a relationship they both agreed to. Whether the left and right political ideologies agree on that Is immaterial. Marriage is a societal and/or religious construct that government has no business licensing, permitting, or not permitting.
Again, we need constitutionalists, not political catering.
... but Senate Republicans refused to take up a vote the last time it happened. In doing so, they allowed the seat to remain vacant for more than a year.
