This is happening. You’ll save yourself a lot of disappointment if you just acknowledge that and stop looking for Republicans with a spine who are going to step in and stop it. Do what you want, but that’s my opinion.

You post here as much as I do, do you really think Republican senators see themselves as having a mandate to act with fairness, decency, and consistency?

Tribal partisanship is the first principle of the Republican Party, right now. Look at the responses in here. The woman’s body wasn’t even cold before you had people saying that they had to keep Democrats out of the senate and lusting over the idea of ramming another justice through.

If the Republican senate can hand their voters a win for 15 minutes, they’ll do it, even if It gets undone in some fit of retaliation in the 16th minute when Democrats take control. Their voters have all the forethought of a smash & grab robber. They don’t care about the country or even what’s best for them beyond the next culture war skirmish. It’s political hedonism.

Hopefully Democrats will follow the lead of Biden’s campaign and start behaving differently when they retake the government, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

After watching and listening to the liberals the last 4 years this post is beyond hypocrisy . The left has burnt every bridge , thrown, cast every stone , used up every bit of capital , put all their eggs in one basket and sunk to the lowest depts trying to oust Trump and grouping Republicans in with him . Now there’s a “ situation “ and suddenly it’s the Rs that cant be expected to “ do the ethical or right thing” ? Man I love watching real time karma in action .

Trump's stammering during the debates when faced with this hypocrisy is going to be epic. He'll have his first line memorized of course, but when pressed about the illogical of the GOP position, he'll just get mad and dismissive.

This sounds more like what DEMs are known for to me. I guess it's just a matter of bias and perspective. I remember DEMs ramming Obummercare through without any input from Repubs. Repubs need to learn how to get in the mud like the DEMs do IMO. The Russia HOAX and Impeachment scam were a definite partisan hack job by the DEMs. DEMs vote together as a block no matter what but Repubs always have a few that do not. Too many RINOS on the Republican side.

Trump needs to nominate Kamala Harris. Dems couldn’t oppose or rip her. Her position as AG was reasonably conservative, especially in a very liberal state, and it would blow up Bidens chances.
And finally, would there be any nominee that would be as damaging to the conservatives as RBG has been?
