How's this?Trump did not drag the Democrats down. You should really stop blaming him for things that aren't his fault. People make choices and act on them. They're responsible for their own actions. What Trump does is his fault. What Democrats do is their fault. He hasn't forced them to act in any way.
How's this?
If anyone did not see that Trump would inevitably cause the repubs to drag themselves down, cause the dems. to drag themselves down, cause the media to drag themselves down, cause each individual to drag themselves down, and cause the country as a whole to drag itself down.....then they are non-functioning.

Not true at all. Look no further than Carter.
Even it you take the cynical and nonsensical stance that high character precludes one from being POTUS, that in no way is an excuse for electing the person with the worst character.
I can assure you that the people who come out of the Mayor Daley Chicago political machine do not all have equal character.I can assure you that nobody of character comes out of the Mayor Daley Chicago political machine.
Hence the reason we always like to compare ourselves to each other rather than a perfect standard.I can assure you that the people who come out of the Mayor Daley Chicago political machine do not all have equal character.
They are on a continuum, and the person with the best character is better than the person with the worst character.
In 2016 the lesser character candidate beat out 16 with higher character and then beat out one with higher character.Ok let's look at Carter. He was nominated and elected 44 years ago, things have changed.
In 2016 the lesser character candidate didn't win.

So she waited around for 35 years as this covert liberal operative waiting for just the right moment to claim that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her all while receiving no financial benefit whatsoever and all while subjecting herself and her family to unrelenting scrutiny and ridicule from the Right? Sounds plausible.
My post about Carter deserving to be on Mt. Rushmore was a joke, Luther. He should be on Mt. Vesuvius because he blows, just like Vesuvius did.

The lesser character candidate most definitely did win.
I hope you can once again find your way back to understanding the importance of character.
Old man cynicism is hard to shake.
Those must be people born after 1980. I actually voted for Carter and he was the last democrat I've voted for since. He was the worst president of my lifetime until Obama came along.Sometimes you gotta go for the blue ink. Carter is one of those cases; there are a lot of people of all political and other persuasions still under the delusion that he was a good president and a good man. I question the man even setting aside the fact that he is a fool, but I'm absolutely certain he was a lousy president.
