Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

Trump has no character whatsoever - this is an undeniable fact. He is truly a despicable human being who has debased the Office for four years, to think otherwise is a fool's errand.

It's making more an more sense to me what Dems mean by following "science" and "facts". Opinions, assessments = facts.

For some people poor character is still a nonstarter. To call this illogical is like hiring an employee because they are efficient and ignoring the fact that they are a serial rapist.

I can accept that people have a problem with poor character. Does it mean they will be sitting out elections from now on?

Chucks not holding back

He's making a fool of himself by making this sound like a catastrophe. It's the president's job to appoint. It's the senate's job to confirm or not confirm. Confirming a Supreme Court justice right now isn't the end of the senate. He's doing what he's best at which is screaming and crying when he doesn't get his way.

That brings up a decent discussion point. If it was the Republican's job to vote on Obama's appointment before his term was up, as the Dems affirm, then that would mean that it's their job to vote now before Trump's term is up.

What kind of boss would tell an employee, "You know, you had a really lazy, good for nothing day at work today. Since you didn't do your job today, you'd better not do your job tomorrow either or there will be hell to pay!"

It seems to me you call them out for dereliction of duties, and then tell them to start doing their job. (That is... Unless you don't really care about them doing their job and instead just care that they do what you prefer.)

This. The biggest issue with the Supreme Court these days is that it has become a political weapon rather than serving as a guardian and interpreter of the Constitution.

Graham seems to have seen the light since a bunch of his RINO buddies left the senate. I'm impressed by his new attitude - I was definitely with you before though.
He did have the light bulb go on after mccain left. I thought I was gonna watch him burst a major useful vessel at the kavanaugh hearings. What he said was true.

It's extremely naive to think you know the first thing about any politician's character. That's like saying you know about Bryan Cranston's character based on watching Breaking Bad.

Trump is not a politician, and some of you guys still cannot cope with that reality after 4 years. You've taken Trump's obvious character flaws that are not diluted by the crap he says whatsoever, and convinced yourselves he is 100 times worse than the swamp creatures in Washington who are basically actors with 10 ft of political bulletproof glass between their persona and their actual personalities and character flaws.

We would all be so much better off if we just muzzled the president and graded him off of policy, but since it is clear the people will refuse to do that, we will continue to have to live with a bunch of POS losers playing pretend that the guy from the apprentice is some unique piece of human garbage among a shining city of the best the country has to offer.

One thing I'll actually give dems high marks on. They've encouraged and goaded Trump to make a fool of himself. Not a high bar at all considering what they had to work with, but they did it very well. If Joe gets elected, it's going to be fun watching the flip for a few months until he gets flipped. Remember the left's “Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Minh" chant? We ought to start work on a similar "Ho, Ho ... Kam ..." kind of thing; won't happen though because it's the left that works from the gutter.

Majority of Americans, including many Republicans, say wait for election to replace Ginsburg - Reuters poll

The national opinion poll, conducted Sept. 19-20 after Ginsburg’s death was announced, suggests that many Americans object to President Donald Trump’s plan, backed by many Senate Republicans, to push through another lifetime appointee and cement a 6-3 conservative majority on the court.

The poll found that 62% of American adults agreed the vacancy should be filled by the winner of the Nov. 3 matchup between Trump and Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden, while 23% disagreed and the rest said they were not sure.

When Turtle & Co. do this (they will), the blue wave cometh.

GOP will own the trifecta, then simply add more SCOTUS seats.

Enjoy.

And it's becoming perfectly clear to me that Trump supporters have buried their heads in the sand relative to questions of character and dignity.

I came from the generation that "children should be seen, and not heard." Also, from "the world doesn't owe you a living."
So did I, my parents maxims live on in my head and I conduct myself appropriately. They were a good influence. The way I see children talking to their parents today is shameful.
