He can go to the NFL and at least get paid if he has an injury.

He would get paid either way he has a million dollar insurance policy on himself..... So he should come back and get better, then be a for sure first round pick :hi:

He needs to stay but can understand if he doesn't

Kids aren't cheap

No they aren't but I will say they're much cheaper at his kid's age than later on. Right now, that child will be just as happy whether his daddy is making nothing or making millions and I'm sure Justin's mom is making sure her grandbaby has all it needs along with the child's mom and her parents.

Justin's mom is a classy lady who loves her baby and I'd like to tell her that whether Justin stays or goes she will always be welcome here.

My sources tell me that Butch Jones and Charlie Strong are the top two choices for TN, so I bet he goes pro.

Hunter is scared to take a hit. Has nothing to do with his knee. He dropped key balls this year. NFL doesn't want receivers that are scared to go over the middle and or take a hit.

She said that he knows what he wants to do, but is not telling anybody. She implied that he is going to go pro, but would be willing to stay if...

So Justin won't tell but his momma will. In a Wendy's to a stranger no less. Better be careful what you whisper to momma in the future Justin.

Or he can get a degree to fall back on. The real money us in your second contract.

Lately we and many other schools have been paying (tuition/support) for former players, sometimes long after their careers are over, to come back to school and complete their degrees. Right now, those programs highly screen the potential returning player to make sure graduation is something they're committed to. The only problem is after you leave school, whether you're a player or just regular guy/gal, odds are you won't ever return and complete a degree no matter what even if you want to return. Of course, that's not everybody but it's a huge problem.

Justin seems smart enough to get a good degree and it would be nice if he did. I think it would help him after football and is a necessity for most college coaching jobs and also helps land those post-career ESPN jobs.

CP is gone. There is nothing he can do to stay. It's sad, because he isn't even close to ready for the NFL. Judging by his attitude, Hunter will go if he can. I doubt he will stay no matter what happens. It would have to take a huge name and lots of coercing to keep him. He is good, but I don't think he is irreplaceable. It's not a total disaster if he goes. Bray hated Dooley. If he likes the new coach, he might stay. Quite frankly, I don't care for Bray's attitude, and it sounds like we have two good QB's waiting. It won't bother me too much if Bray leaves, either. The real losses, imo, are Rogers and Rivera. I strongly believe that those two guys were never credited and were both under utilized.

Justin is a Vol. i wish him the best and appreciate his contributions(which were and maybe will be many). However you gotta admit that is the most dissapointing 1000 yard season in UT history.

My gut says they all leave but my football observation says they will be lower picks than people think. CP has raw talent that will translate eventually in the right system but NFL teams don't use high draft picks for developing players. He may be 3rd round unless his combine is off the charts. Hunter and Bray have serious shortcomings mentioned here. I saw Bray was the 9th QB somewhere. They could all use another year of better coaching.

GO VOLS!!

Not necessarily. Over the years, I can recall many an instance in which football players have gotten into academic probation during the fall semester and then taken sufficient hours during the spring and summer semesters to reinstate their elegibility. The caveat, of course, is that they have to be willing to do the course work necessary to get out of the academic doghouse. All indications are that Patterson is not willing to do so, but that, if true, is his fault.

As for Rogers and Rivera, Zach was essentially a late bloomer. He has been criticized in previous years for having a bad case of the dropsies, but he developed into a reliable receiver as a senior. He said that he patterns his game after Wes Welker and I could see him being drafted in the late rounds and potentially carving out a career for himself in the NFL. Rivera just broke Jason Witten's single-season record for receiving yardage by a tight end, which goes to show you that we have historically neglected the value of that position as a receiver in our passing attack.

I need to see a birth certificate and DNA samples to believe JH's mom was a Wendy's on the Strip spilling his future plans. Is the OP sure this wasn't this crackhead by chance?

I say he goes pro, but really needs to stay. Bray, hunter, and cp aren't really ready but probably will leave. I say bray stays but cp is for sure gone. Good group of talent right there.

You are delusional. Lee will be the first wide receiver taken.

Nah, you're just ignorant.

No he won't. He's not draft eligible.
This.

In next years draft. Lee is a Sophomore.
This x2.

All the guys saying Hunter is not NFL ready are just hoping he stays. He's ready. He'll be projected as a 1st rounder after the combine. The dropped balls don't mean anything. He's made a lot more spectacular catches than he has dropped balls. People like to dwell on the dropped passes but give no praise to the spectacular catches he made, or the route running, which improved a great deal since his freshman season.

Degree will be with you forever, now if he is rated high enough, deft go pro. If he is a possible mid round pick and on the fence he can look at his options, IE coaches and who else stays etc, If he is worried about getting hurt he can get an insurance policy that can heal a lot of things, again a degree is with you for life, His decision that he will have to live with forever but a proven fact that once you step away from school then most people do not go back, beside this is one of the greatest time of his life. Oh the college years:)

I have a kid and I would go pro, even if I had a bad season , i would think an NFL wr coach could help me more in the next year. On the contrary, if he gets picked high, he will go to a lame team and struggle

Degree will be with you forever,

and there is no time limit on when he can get it. UT even has a program for former players to come back and get their degree. How many NFL players without degrees make more money in their lifetime than those regular students who stay and get a diploma?

the ability to make money playing professional football is a very small window. Take all the money you can get right now and run with it
