For some odd reason I believe he just might be able to back it up.

I love it

That's not a threat... Lets get butcher to send him a tweet.

I'm glad we got this kid and I realize that I'm probably just an old, out of touch fuddy duddy but I'm not gonna lie. I'd prefer Kahlil do a little less tweeting and let his game on the field do the talking.

I realize you may be a bit aghast at all this "hoopla" but if you dont have a DT that is absolutely frothing at the mouth and straining at the leash to get at that O, you dont have much. You want barely restrained fury that people on the opposite side of the line are frankly a bit nervous. People hate Sherman but part of the smack talk is to get in people's heads as well as his own head. You believe it before you do it. Sadly, its been many years since UT has had D players that were that aggressive with the tools to back it up. And this isnt some 2* wannabe coming in talking stuff, its likely the #1 defensive recruit in the country.

Now, such an attitude in QBs is another story. I truly think the archtypes are Peyton and Sherman and both have exactly the right attitude for the positions they play.

That's a popular thing to say, "do your talking on the field". But it isn't the world we live in today.

Nope, talking smack and self promotion on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or other web based social networking are the world we live in today.

He has already backed up his talk. He won DL MVP at the opening, where he was matched against the best recruits in the nation. And he owned them. Go watch some of the videos, he is already throwing bama boys around like rag dolls. And before you say well he is only playing against high schoolers, that is what he is too. And many of them were the same players he will be going against in college. He has shown well above average skill, drive, power and possibility.

He has yet to take a college football snap, much less beaten Bama. He hasn't backed up anything yet. I can appreciate the enthusiasm for this kid but let's not be crazy here.

This guy might be the best recruiter in the class. Check out this article from BR: Re-Evaluating Tennessee's Recruiting Class After the 2014 Opening | Bleacher Report

(I know, I know. Bleacher Report) But seriously it is a pretty good article. Talks a lot about what our current commits did at the opening and talks about a few guys that were not considering UT that are now taking another look. Some of that is due to the show that KM put on out there. SIAP but I didn't see it anywhere.
