I knew someone other I was watching this. But I was right about being blasted for daring to post what I did. Which is in itself evidence that what I said is true.

That you Kamal? No I kid, I kid. I don’t think you got blasted though. You did post on a site where people discuss, agree, disagree. I mean, you used the word euthanize. What did you expect? Maybe you are being a little to sensitive? Just a question. Not blasting you.

There is a mile wide chasm between Larry Bird and Hadden. Bird could back up every bit of his trash talk. From what I saw, Hadden hasn’t backed up anything. As a couple of posters noted, he gets roasted like a Christmas turkey and gets up talking 💩. Sorry to tell him but if you do that, you are going to get criticized until you back it up with your play. Performance speaks for itself. If you are good, you don’t have to tell anybody. And you sure don’t have to post that you’re just not “understood”.
Not only that, but it's always said the best corners have short memories. They don't linger on things. They just clear and go to the next play. Hadden clearly doesn't have that make up.

Yep, he has a little of the same problem as Banks had 2021 although a little different. Banks was getting 15 for hitting late or body slamming players etc.., actions that would made him a hero back in the 60's & 70's but now you get -15 and coaches and fans hate that, game killers. KH is an aggressive player and made some good plays/tackles. Hes bracketed in with all the DBs that need to improve on coverage and turning to the ball on 50/50s when hand fighting to avoid the -15. His biggest problem is running his mouth (yelling not trash talking) right when the cameras on him pushing a receiver out of bounds etc. like when him and the adolescent coach from USCjr started trading expletives on sidelines with cameras for replays etc... Talking back and forth regrettably has become a part of the game. KH uses that to excuse what he's doing is what others do. IMO it's like telling a child to use his or her inside voice. Where others talk and try to intimidate throughout the game, I just don't think KH realizes how animated he is, and it gets picked up by the announcers and all. Guess what, the refs then start eye balling him and talk before the game keep an eye on #5 don't want game to get out of hand. Then you wonder why you get called on the hand fighting for a 50/50 ball when others don't, KH has made himself the villain his yelling needs to be at least nuanced to normal trash talk that happens.

Really good to the point post!! Too bad it had to be so long, not many on here have the attention span for anything over one simple line....

It was not that he had a confrontational attitude, it was how he displayed it. Can be exactly the same for making assessments on Volnation. Classless shots for classless play are what they are. Can you seriously justify one and not the other? Really?

Based on his use of UNDERSTAND rather than SEEN in his statement it appears he had been informed by multiple others the nature of some of the critiques and not his singular review. Plenty of rational very critical critiques out there too.

It is not the impact on him that concerns me, but that of his teammates, those that may have a better fact set on EXACTLY what he said and maybe his motivations. I bet his peers and the staff addressed the issue and if he is still welcomed by them I am good with it.

Hope he cleans it up. Posters too.

I appreciate a player giving his best and all fir Tennessee even if results are not good. I will never like or understand a player costing the team and losing a game due to stupidity that has nothing to do with actually playing. After the whistle, kid looks like an idiot and it costs us. Clemson doesn’t go for 2 to get within 7 if he didn’t draw the flag.

I’m not sure anyone on Twitter could “disrespect” him the way Spencer rattler did. I was at the game, and SC fans just kept saying “throw it at 5!”

They knew that (at least for that game), his coverage was non-existent. But alas, after giving up a first down on third and long, he would get up talking trash. I was actually a big fan of his prior to that game.

I'm not sure why he would be getting hate mail right now unless I missed something recently?! We need the depth at CB. He made several big plays for us and cost us some big plays. I guess he is talking about when he was running his mouth and costing his team? I'm not one to tweet at players or anything but when you play big boy ball in front of a big fan base, you're gonna get called out no matter where you are. If you make it to the NFL, you're going to have to have thicker skin.

Who?

Naw, I expect to be targeted, due to how I phrase things. Just think of me as a needle.

There have been plenty of posts about bad CB play on here so maybe that’s it or people tracked him down on social media or something?

You'd be surprised how volatile some of our fans are. And YES, we do have incidents of fans stalking and throwing dirt at players on Twitter. It happens for real, bub.

My great wish is you are wrong. I spoke to Larry Seivers at our 50th hs reunion and asked if he ever visited VN. No, he answered, do they talk bad about me?

Given what I've seen some of our fans exhibit right here on VN, it wouldn't surprise me if he has encountered incidents with spitting Volfan cobras. There are times I see some things that make me wonder why such fans aren't euthanized, as they are so persistent in their spite. I think some even refuse to believe that players actually do read VN posts. We, from time to time, have parents of players drop in as well. Not necessarily actively participate, but stealth lurk. I suggest, let me repeat, I suggest caution. Some of those posts might serve as the catalyst for players to go portal.

Proceed to execute me for daring to post the above.
I agree but, just by simple numbers, the "one percenters" are more w/ Vols b/c our fan base is bigger/more passionate than most any other...it's draws players in, and maybe what can push some away. 99.999% of Vol fans are mostly supportive of players and their hard work. There are plenty of places to wallow in obscurity, but Knoxville's not that place and SEC's not that place...well maybe Mizz.

He’s gets paid now so WTH? He can’t cover his own ass so don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
Not trying to throw dirt on this young man? football players at this level give up a lot in terms of work, social life, hobbies etc to be good enough to get on the field. But is the portalhis.best move?

I've heard.nil? does every player get NIL? Does Hadden?

Grown men actually communicate personally with college football players through Twitter or any other means? Lol...some people need to grow up and get a life--or a job. I figure if Hadden isn't the best of what we have for his position, Heupel and Banks wouldn't have him out there. Maybe he runs his mouth too much...again, coaches' problem.

We do get player and parent visitors. Most, don't, as I said, actively participate. The last parent who I interacted with, who visited VN on a semi-frequent basis, was Jason Croom's mom. Some of our VN folks likely remember her. It happens. I've been a VN'er since 2004 (under another screen name originally), so I've seen a lot on here. I used to be a relatively nice guy, until I got contaminated by increasingly rude folks here. Unfortunately for me, once I got a taste of it, I drafted into enjoying being ebil, vewy. vewy ebil. ;)

He needs to tell his crew not to engage with haters. Block, ignore, whatever. Haters aren't worth your time.

As for his chippy behavior, that's a coaching call. If they feel it's lowering his game and our chances on the field, they need to coach him.

Having been a student at UT, being dumb and immature with one's mouth just comes with that territory. Kamal has made some good plays and bad. If he is not up for VFL, transfer. He, and several other Vol players, are passionate and when their mouth overloads their brain....you wind up on Vol Nation Board in a negative sort of way. Finally, if you think VN or local Knoxville media is rough at times, just wait and see what you get in the NFL or at another top 10 football program. Wish KH well. Hope he learns from this and thinks before he speaks or Tweets. Vol Nation is what it is.

I’m not one to ever condone tweeting players or family. That’s just ridiculous to me, but I suppose it’s just the times we live in.
I am, however, a big fan of being a fan here on the teams message board. It’s the appropriate place to be fanatical. And with that said, this kid is a liability in coverage and I don’t care how thin we are. He also runs his mouth like he’s a lockdown guy when in fact, he’s a lock to give up completions. And to finish my God given message board right, Martinez is part of his problem. Did I do it right?
