From what I understand, it is perfectly acceptable in this thread to suggest that others ought to be physically assaulted (kicked and sodomized with a pineapple) over opinions; it is perfectly acceptable to refer to others as pieces of **** and clowns over mere opinions; and, it is perfectly acceptable to assert that one is lacking any intelligence or mental capacity over opinions. Yet, make a one-off joke about dementia that only individuals who are hypersensitive will take offense at and you, being one of the hypersensitive individuals, put an end to the discussion?

That is BS, Vollygirl, and you know it. But, whatever, not my site and you and the rest of the mods can run it however you please. Just make sure you are consistent in shutting down any discussions which might have the tiniest possibility of offending anyone.

How does joking equate to heartlessness? As I stated before, where laughing and helping are mutually exclusive, choosing to laugh is repugnant. That is not the case here, nor in the vast majority of situations.
