Kansas not taking a wait and see approach

ACC and the B10 will pick up a couple schools to match the SEC.
Even though they played w 11 for a bit, seems inevitable that they’d have to go to at least 16. There isn’t really anyone else in what’s left of the Big 12 that’s very attractive. My guess is that they’ll try to poach another ACC school or 3, like they did w Maryland

Notre Dame to the ACC is the most obvious. Then Kansas to the Big 10.

After that it's tough.

I could see the Pac bringing in Texas Tech and maybe TCU, but they're not taking Baylor. Does Boise finally get a Pac invite?

I wonder if this is the moment that Cincinnati finally gets a P5 bid and joins the ACC.

Aside from Kansas, i really don't see any great pickups for the Big 10. They would have to wait a while to go after UVA or UNC.

The real winner in all of this will probably be ND, I bet the B10 and the ACC both go after them hard.

The reality is the ACC only needs 1 team since ND except for football is a member, maybe they go after UCF? B10 gets KS and Baylor?

Don't see the ACC taking a third school in Florida.

It’s a shame. Notre Dame has no business being in the ACC. They’re a perfect fit in the B1G with already established rivals and location.

You mentioned Cincy, that could be a viable option. I could see it.
They would rank last in the ACC in revenue, a huge portion of which they rely on state/university funds for. They don't even own the majority of fan interest in their own media market. I don't see them as appealing whatsoever to a major conference.

Boston College might be a quick target for the B1G. That's a big eyeball market. I know little about the academics there but I'm assuming it's at least as good as MD.

Notre Dame would only join the ACC as a middle finger to the Big 10. That's it. And it's probably the only thing that could save the ACC long term.

Texas Tech to the Pac makes more sense than any of the other B12 schools, and I really don't know what they're going to do if they aren't able to get absorbed there.

I don't know why in the world the ACC would add Cincy. Except they're desperate to look like they're doing something.

BC would have to wait a long time. The ACC's media deals are really punitive to anyone wanting to leave.

Not a lot of interest in college football in Boston, and what there is of is not heavily BC

They don't have a choice. They are locked into the ACC for another decade and the buyout is insane.

I'd have to assume they'd head to the MWC or AAC.

The ACC is in kind of a bad spot. Getting to 15 football members is easy. 16 is tough.

And most of all to a school like BC. It made sense for Maryland to leave, so I'd guess FSU, Louisville and Clemson could easily make the case if offered part of a big deal elsewhere. I just don't know who would do that for them.

Pac12 could move to take what’s left of Big 12 and split in East & West divisions. It could give pac 12 Cali teams exposure in mid America, specifically Texas. Utah, Colorado could join the Big 12 remains &, who knows, Nebraska may come back. I don’t think Nebraska is happy being the outlier in the Big 10.

I guess the ACC could always go after Temple or Memphis if Cincy is out of the question.

I think 4 conferences could work PAC12 SEC ACC and BIG10 16 teams each then who knows what would happen to the rest of them...use them as farm leagues lol

Yeah… they basically don’t have any options that will improve the standing (value) of the conference. They’re getting left behind and makes them more vulnerable to get poached.

I’m curious about this Big 12 buyout. Where does the money go? Whoever is the last one to leave? 😂
