Kansas suspensions handed down by NCAA

I don't think these suspensions will change the game much other than to make the score closer. We do not have the shooter(s) or post presence to compete at the level required to win this game. I think our team is improving but just not enough to win @ Kansas.

I don’t think it will make that big of impact either, but this removes two bigs (6’9” and 6’10”) and 7.3 rebounds per game between the two. So it could make it easier for us on the boards/down low

Azubuike should have been suspended too. Dude looked like he was trying to get in the mix to me. Blue blood getting a little favoritism.
Not to me, he didn’t. If you watch it from the other ends of the court, Azubuike spends the majority of his time underneath the basket on the actual court. He seems rather innocent in the matter.

I thought Garrett was really deserving of a suspension but it is what it is. This brawl and the Cincinnati/ Xavier fro a few years ago were not great looks for any of the programs. Hell! I remember Dale Brown running on the court to protect Shaq back in the day. I believe Groves was or player but I’m an old fart so I might be mistaken.

Carlos Groves. Felt bad for him. He was trapped between coach told me to and Shaq's anger.

BTW, did KSU players get suspensions? Not that it matters for us, but that RS player leaving the bench and the player on the court who took DeSousa's taunt into something physical surely will get something. Will the BigXII or the schools add to the NCAA's discipline or just let the sleeping dog lie?

You know you're right.. I was reading the number as 35 when actually it was 33.

The bigger thing is going to be to try and get Azubuike in foul trouble. If he goes out, they have no real post depth with the suspensions. They will likely have to run some guard heavy lineups which against defenders like Pons, I see going very well for us.

Not sure if we will win, but I'd say a good showing is in order.

Bill Self will be expecting TN to attempt to exploit the inside game, but the key for TN will be to defend the perimeter. IMO CRB won't try to develop a game plan that's heavily reliant on Uros making a big contribution. But Fulk and Pons will need to bring their A games.

I am pretty sure these are just team and Big 12 suspensions. The NCAA hasn't handed anything down yet as far as I know. There should be more suspensions coming once the NCAA reviews everything.

Yea I was thinking the same thing if Uros can go at him and make him foul we could have a better shot than we would if he stays clean throughout most of the game
