Pardon my ignorance but as someone who hasn't paid a ton of attention to NCAAB outside of Tennessee this year how significant are these suspensions? Are both these guys starters?

He’s got a UP side, pun intended but I think Barnes is slowly bringing him along.as Barnes would say it’s up to Uros to expand those minutes. Just how RB navigates
Agree. I also think CRB, to a certain extent, dictates minutes going into every game for each player based on the matchups, tempo etc

They combine for about 20 minutes. I'd say one is a 6th man and the other is a marginal bench player.

Yea I was thinking the same thing if Uros can go at him and make him foul we could have a better shot than we would if he stays clean throughout most of the game
I think Azbuike will dominate both Fulky and Uros. He's much stronger physically than both of them and a just plain better player, I just don't see them having much success. Key to this game will be JJJ. Kansas will be physical and in his face the whole game, how he handles it will determine if we are competitive or not I feel.

I don't think the suspensions will have much effect on the outcome. They have 5 forwards on roster and with AZ, it will be very hard for UP to play significant minutes without fouling out.

UP still too green to make a big diff. except to spell Fulky. Really need Fulky and ORN to be on their "A" game to have a decent chance for the upset.

I don't think these suspensions will change the game much other than to make the score closer. We do not have the shooter(s) or post presence to compete at the level required to win this game. I think our team is improving but just not enough to win @ Kansas.
I think we beat them ........

....to the locker room.

Maybe Fulky will out work him even if he doesn't outplay him. This and the loss of bench players could wear Azibuike down.

De Sousa isn't much of a loss for them. Averages only 5 or 6 mins per game. McCormack averages about 16 mins a game. He's a solid player. The only way this greatly affects them is if we manage to get Azubuike in foul trouble (which IMO we are going to test him early). If we succeed in doing that, they'll have to play a bit smaller, but even then they'll have a noticeable talent advantage. It will take all of our guys being on their A game for us to have a chance, and it'll also take Kansas not playing one of their better games. Crazier things have happened this season, but I would advise not to get your hopes up.

Not to me, he didn’t. If you watch it from the other ends of the court, Azubuike spends the majority of his time underneath the basket on the actual court. He seems rather innocent in the matter.
Damn it Chris be quiet lol

Pretty weak. Should have been 4 KU players for at least 2 games and their coach for 3 games too.

I didn't see anyone from KSU who did anything other than defend themselves.

You didn't see the KState guy in street clothes go bonkers thru the entire group?

Too bad the KSU Waterboy didn't come over and clock Azubuike with a cheap shot and get him to fight his way into suspension! Then they would be stuck with all guards for the game!

We do play that center tight and get him into foul trouble. Take the ball to him. He either fouls or has to be no so aggressive in defending the net.

it still hilarious how people blow things out of proportion. If you look objectively at both camera angles of the fracas a totally different story plays out. Desousa was backed in a corner basically fighting a whole team for the first few seconds there. You'll notice he is surrounded by purple jerseys. Its just a few seconds but trust me in that situation those few seconds feel like an eternity. Yes, he picked up a stool but its fairly obvious he DROPPED the stool almost immediately. {People keep saying it was pulled out of his hands but that's silly. If that had been pulled from his hands he would have been pulled back. Try it pick something up in that position with intent to swing it and have someone pull it from your hands, you'll get jerked back. He had an instinctive fight or flight reaction and thought better of it.

Should it have went down,, no of course not but it was just a fight between rivals and NO ONE WAS HURT. End of discussion they got what they deserved and its over.

Back to reality. Self got nothing. If you recruit thugs and they act like thugs, then the coach-thug should shoulder the blame.
