Yeah, you have to take most of our fanbase with a grain of salt. Reading between the lines from most people who matter, it seems 99% certain he will not be eligible for this season. The silver lining everyone is hoping for is that they rule him eligible for NEXT season, in which the Kanter family already said they would stay at UK if granted that option. However, I'm not willing to bet on ever seeing him in the layup line.

FYI, most do not know that Kanter lost his appeal hearing on the first go-round, right before they asked for a completely new hearing. It has also been reported by an NCAA watchdog legal blog that the AA' has indeed ruled three times on the Kanter case but only one has been made public.

Word is that the final Kanter appeal is taking place this afternoon, so hopefully this wild goose chase comes to an end soon.

possibly but i would like to see him play. if cammy newton is eligible to play then kanter should be as well. let his dad pay back the 40,000 that the ncaa said he took and let the kid play. the ncaa looks like a joke as usual with all these rules that they play games with. it hurts tennessee's chances but let the kid play it is the right thing to do.
