No, Al Franken was photographed pretending to grab LeeAnn Tweeden's breasts while she was sleeping and he was making a goofy face to the camera when doing it. It was clearly not done for the purpose of sexual gratification but rather for the purpose of humor. It was sophomoric and inappropriate and demonstrated horrifically poor judgment but it was not a sexual assault. LeeAnn Tweeden has even acknowledged this to be the case and she accepted his apology for the matter. However, I'm glad that Franken was forced out of the Senate as a result by his Democratic colleagues in the Senate including Dianne Feinstein. It does demonstrate a commitment to the issue and a response to an insensitive and disrespectful act. I strongly disagree that a Republican member of the Senate in the same predicament as Al Franken would be forced to resign by Republican members of the Senate based on their response to Donald Trump's comments in the infamous Access Hollywood video. They would dismiss Al Franken's type of behavior as being an inappropriate but ultimately harmless action and tell Democrats who were complaining over it to stop whining, call them "snowflakes" and tell them to get a sense of humor and shut up about it... That is my opinion.I could be remembering this wrong but wasn’t he photographed having his hand on a sleeping woman’s boob? If so then anybody would be booted.
