So your beef is with how he responded to one Senator one of the many times he was questioned by her all with the context of hours and hours of hearings?

How he spoke to one Senator one time is a better indicator of his judicial temperament than his actual career and ruling history (which has been determined to be outstanding with regard to temperament).

The standards that these liberals hold conservatives to is vastly more stringent that they do there fellow liberals.

The only two Supreme Court nominees to pull their nomination since 1980 are Douglas Ginsburg in 1987 who withdrew due to his admission that he used to smoke marijuana and Harriet Miers in 2005 and she withdrew due to objections from Republicans on the Judiciary Committee who felt she was unqualified. Robert Bork got a vote.

One of the real reasons the Democrats are so upset is they didn't think it would get this far based on past Republican behavior.

In the past if the Dems/Libs brought allegations like this against a Conservative up for an appointed position by the Republican President the President would have probably pulled his nomination or the nominee would have pulled his name on his own to not go through the storm like JBK did. They wouldn't have got to the point of having to find witnesses etc.. for a hearing as they would have backed away on just the accusation.

They still haven't learned that Trump is not your old school Republican he isn't going back down and if they push back on him he will come right back at you with a left hook. They also didn't see it coming that Judge BK would be the same way instead of pulling his name he fought them hard and threw the accusations back in their face.

Strong post CMV. No doubt the Dems expected either Trump or Kavanaugh would have wilted under their unholy onslaught before the Senate could manage to hold a vote. Props to Trump, Kavanaugh, Grassley, Graham and McConnell for having the balls to fight them in the trenches all the way.

Well, there have been 4 of Trump's nominees in the Federal Judiciary who have withdrawn. Matthew Petersen, Ryan Bounds, Jeff Mateer and Brett Talley. Trump's nominee for Secretary of Labor, Andrew Puzder (former CEO of Hardee's) withdrew after domestic abuse allegations surfaced from his ex-wife (and a video of her being interviewed on "Oprah").

So, it seems you are wrong anyway.

And how many abortion clinics have been bombed since the 1970's? Again, were those liberal nuts or conservative nuts? There are plenty of nuts out there to go around and neither party has cornered the market on them.
