Being biased for or against a litigant isn't the issue. It's whether he can be fair given direct link to Trump.

I didn’t say anything about bias I said for a sitting Supreme Court judge to come out publicly on camera and make a political statement against a president and or policies is a very bad look . You are wondering if the man , when he gets there can be neutral and hoping he recuses himself based on nothing but speculation and overlooking a sitting judge taking sides in public .

Soooooooo doesn’t that mean he would have bias for a litigant if he oversees anything related to Trump and has Trump connections as you claim? Jees LG that was some serious double speak there.

He has to be quiet as a church mouse on this I think. At the end of the day most know he will get confirmed. No reason for him to load the gun and point it at his own foot for them.

Yep... Same reason they're enduring the interruptions. They know in the end what the result is going to be and will just endure the grandstanding.

Judges like and dislike the parties all the time. We count on them to be professional and set that aside. That's a FAR cry from being beholden to one of them for the fact that you are a judge on that court.

He does not need to respond. Every time they hit him they lose votes from their own party and fire up the Republican base. Let them lose as many votes as possible. Nobody running the Democratic party overall policy and no complaints from me.

Kavanaugh has near historic low polling for a Supreme Court nominee. One could argue that polls are flawed, but it's across the board, nearly all polls.

Arguing that someone woild lose votes by opposing his nomination doesn't make sense to me.
