Kavanaugh Confirmation

No, it really is a separate issue with it's own issues. Also, abortion has nothing to do with the state. It is an individual choice.
The state pays for abortions everyday through planned parenthood. I've always wondered how the left could reconcile being against the death penalty but being for abortion. So afraid that you might kill an innocent man but being ok with killing thousands of innocent babies. Must be e real struggle in your thought processes.

Definitely a deterrent
Might as well lead some insolent kids to be stoned to death by the village, then get that bastard that gathered some sticks on a Sunday. Can't let anyone get uppity. I think my neighbor has some plants improperly planted next to other plants. I informed my friendly church folk, they'll be by shortly to beat the woman to death.

Give them an inch they’ll take a mile.

Sure as long as the guy is selling the home for $100,000 profit. Why would you tax income differently based on how it was earned? Jealousy?

That's my point. The wealthy investment class has paid for ways to shield income from taxation, depending on where it comes from.

If one person, absolutely one person, is given freedom from a hasty death penalty based on a wrongful conviction, then I will gladly pay to have your crazy cannibal stuck in a supermax prison for life. The moment the state murdered an innocent person is the moment the death penalty should have been abolished.

I kinda had a feeling you were going that direction. Now we are saying we should lock up that person and pay for that for the rest of his life and let him possibly kill more people in prison ? See the problem ? I understand the point of an innocent man but you still have to deal with the ones that aren’t .

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. I don't have any issue with a woman controlling their own body. You fail to miss the point. I don't tell anyone to do anything. It is their choice. Death penalty is not a choice.

I will never move on this. The moment the government murdered a dude based on bs evidence is the moment the death penalty should have died. They go to prison, period.

I wasn’t trying to get you to move , I understand your point . But there’s huge problems with taking everyone on death row and moving them to regular prison .

Cut out the bs charges for small time drug offenders and there will be plenty of room in State prisons. Keep the hardcore baddies in federal max security.

It’s not one bs charge that lands someone in prison. There’s a point where you have to realize someone is just gonna be a career criminal with zero respect for law and the rest of the civilized world shouldn’t have to deal with them.

So your solution is to execute them?

Aren't they also controlling what happens with someone else's body as well?

What if it's not the same job.

Should a guy investing in real estate, whose investment home appreciates $100,000 pay the same on that as the guy who makes $100,000 day trading in REITs, and the same as the guy who was paid $100,000 to paint the house?
Did the guy investing in real estate realuze 100k profit on the sale of the asset or was it simple appreciation?
Primary residence/vacation home/investment property?
Owned as individual, LLC, S Corp or C corp?
Did he pay his county and city property taxes while he owned?
Has he fully depreciated the asset?
Is he cashing out or reinvesting the money into another property or business?

LG hates you.

"Wealthy investment class" is a silly title. Many who sell their home and avoid taxation are older retired folks. Of course, i doubt youve never seen a tax you didnt like, including one on grandma and grandpa. Tell me LG, when you sell your residence will you voluntarily pay tax on the gain or will you not?

That’s better than the poor who haven’t paid to have their income shielded. They got that for free.

I watched that interview last night, she sounded like an idiot.
From the quotes I read it seems as if she was just convinced, based on her vast experience with sexual assault victims and their accused, that Ford was telling the truth. She knew it was politically unwise to vote against K but she voted her conscious anyway, shame on her.

Wrong black guy that played for Baltimore.

My bad ras. Ray lewis, ray rice knocked his girl out in an elevator like he had just got the code on punchout for the first time. Rice actually got the shaft, not that a man should ever punch a woman like that, just that many before him have done it and not been blackballed because of an elevator camera...

Why is it that ray lewis will still go in the HOF as 1 of the best LB of his generations, but OJ is a menace ? Crazy to me.

I have worked constantly on my meager home for 12 years, 99% of the time completely by myself. I dont mean laying a little tile, i mean i shingled my roof...tore off and replaced all my siding, insulated the whole crawl and attic solo...with 2 spine surgeries mixed in just for fun. Have about 50k in sweat equity. I hope to cash that in sometime in 19 and put most of it down on a new one. If i have to pay taxes on that, i might just hang it up. Why the hell would uncle sam be entitiled to my sweat and blood at home when i already give him 30% of my hard earned money?

This is why libs are retarded.
