Honestly I don't think the NCAA is a factor at this point.
You have NIL and the new way the portal works.
Their answer should be while TN was outside the rules they have satisfied the NCAA with their actions. TN went way above board to right the issue and the NCAA hasn't passed punishment equally. NCAA hasn't been on the winning side in courts. I say sue them if they try to impose anything other than maybe a small fine.

Respectfully, it’s a BIG deal because every team out there is telling recruits horror stories as to how bad the NCAA is going to be on Tennessee. Until it’s over and done, it is a huge obstacle for Tennessee and a major weapon for our rivals

We'll just have to disagree and I'm sure these kids "agents" are telling them the likely hood of anything happening is small. TN is offering $100K everyone else $80K. Take the money kid, you can always transfer if needed.
This isn't the old days. Yes it needs to be wrapped up but I don't think it's that big of a deal as some are making it out to be

See the problem is you don’t think the NCAA is a big deal at this point. But do you know for sure? Schools can still use the uncertainty against us. The NCAA could decide to act whenever it wants. Now is it likely the NCAA is an issue? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t.

thats not the point. He said its a big deal because EVERY team out there is using these supposed sanctions against us. I simply asked for proof. Show me where EVERY team is telling recruits that

Nothing is a 100% certainty but just what is the NCAA going to do that we haven't already done? Take some scholarships?? CJH has shown he can do more with less. Heck through NIL fill the spots with walk ons. Bowl Ban? May suck but I'm not even sure Sankey won't be on the phone telling the NCAA to watch itself. He wants the SEC to be known as the Premier league and the more teams bowling, the more $$$.
If a player ask CJH and staff about the NCAA thing or if I was CJH I'd tell the player we've gone above and beyond we'll see them in court and tell them the NCAA is already on thin ice Proposal targets NCAA's 'judge, jury' autonomy

NIL and Portal has changed the game. TN is still has one of the best fan base in college football. These 5* kids want to be treated like superstars, especially ones that are highly ranked like Nico. Look at the social media post of him in that Benz looking Hollywood. Look how many take picts in the Black uniforms.
GA & Bama don't have to say NCAA sanctions their records is all that needs to be said for those teams. Kids can now get paid. If Arkansas for instance said UT may get sanctions and our NIL can get $800K, then TN says We can get you $1M, you're gonna get your shine regardless of what the NCAA tries also we'll tie them up in court if we have to. It's about the money, the social media lifestyle and that's where Miami has the edge. South Beach. There's always the portal to go to another team. How do you think Deion got the #1 prospect. $$$$$ Also thanks to the portal, players aren't no longer waiting their turn, they leave.

Before the portal and NIL yeah NCAA sanctions may have been a talking point but now that a top player can get paid and also leave without jumping through hoops.
So for Nico. He's getting paid anywhere he goes.
So the question is does he want to get paid and play in Oregon which has no lifestyle, TN which has the fanbase and the SEC which the NC runs through every year or Miami that has the party lifestyle.

He can't unless he has contacts on every team.
The sanction talk may have worked in the past, where if you went to a team you were pretty much stuck or had to sit a year.
Now you can not only get paid you can transfer out and play right away and with NIL you can fill spots with walk on's

Every team uses negative recruiting, always have always will. I can guarantee this is being brought up with recruits. That said idk how effective it is right now against us. I would bet more on the NCAA having their teeth pulled at this point than they biting us.

Yeah I'm sure some teams will mention it, some won't but I just don't think it's a factor for players now like how it may have been in the past.
