50,800 in attendance tonight. Improvement in the run game, big surprise. More later....

That's like 10,000x more than they had at the Spring game last year as well as more than any home attendance last season...

...I wish I was joking.

Well, given that both your assertions were false....

So, big improvements in the 1st team defense- wouldn't take much after last year. Juco transfer D-Lineman Za'Darious Smith was a monster today.

Tennessean Dyshawn Mobley led the game in rushing, 13 for 65 yards. Another Tennesseean, QB Reese Phillips came in and led a scoring drive in the 4th quarter.

QB situation will be not decided over summer. Max Smith, Jalen Whitlow, and Patrick Towles all threw for touchdowns, although Smith will probably get the nod in the end. Whitlow seems to have benefitted the most from the installation of the Air Raid. With players spread out, it bodes well for his ability to tuck and run or throw into open spaces.

Overall, a good start for the Stoops era. One turnover in the game, an interception. Zero fumbles, so that's improvement.

I'm excited for CFB to start simply so that Kentucky realizes they're still Kentucky. Lived up there a couple years and it was like clockwork, every year around this time the fan base would get excited, say this was the year, start busting out their football shirts...then 3-4 weeks into the season those shirts go back into the closet and they pull out the basketball shirts and act as if the football team losing no longer exists...same thing will play out this year.

I happened to be in Lexington yesterday, not at the B&W game but at Keeneland. I can attest that their were thousands of miniskirts.

Last night's crowd. Not too shabby for practice. Shattered the 1987 attendance at a Spring Game by 30,000.
