Kentucky down by 18 to Miami (OH)

All I know is that no one gave a rat's ass about UT men's basketball before Bruce Pearl. I know it's frustrating that we can't get past the sweet sixteen, but some of you act like we were in the final four every year before Pearl was here.

Yeesh,
The reading comprehension here is weak. I think this may also be the second time you have tried to pick a fight with me about someone else's quote. I did not call Cal average. I have called him scummy before, but not average.

Someone else called him average. Then emain said that the same criticisms could be leveled at Bruce. I pointed out that it is crazy to compare the two because the best recruiting class ever for Bruce would be an average one for Cal...

What is next, do you want to tell me that Lebron James should be a center because he is 6'8?

john calipari just gets way too much credit for being average

That appears to me to be you calling John Calipari average. Maybe you can BS your way out of this.

Why is it unrealistic to expect a coach to earn his gaudy salary?

How has he not earned his salary? He has been there four years. Are you not expecting a little much and if they had of held on against Ohio State he would have already had at least an elite eight run.

How many teams in the country would love to have had Tennessee's four year run?

I'm quite sure this is the funniest thing I have seen all day. :yahoo:

It's not even December, and a topic centered around UK is dominating the UT basketball forum.

don't you want to be the best and continue being the best?

Yes I do but Im not sold on the fact that Pearl wont take us there.

Who in the country could make us the best and keep us there? Pearl has had four years at a school with almost no history and his worst season has been the NCAA tournament first round exit, SEC East championship. I could see if he dropped off to NIT level or missed the tournament but the main has had us on the edge of great things for four straight years.

hatvol, what is it with ur disrespect for bruce pearl? i mean he has had a great run in his 4 years here at TN, im pretty sure we have been to the NCAA tourny every year he has been here. i dont remember us goin that many times before bruce, lol. ur lovefest for calipari is sickening, this guy is an average coach that gets way too much credit for his teams success when he is always loaded with NBA talent when his teams make a tourney run. im pretty sure bruces teams that have went to the sweet 16 have had ZERO nba players on them. Just to run down a few of cals former players that aided in these runs that you may have heard of before:
