The dude has beaten Tennessee more than any coach since the bear and it’s somehow “great news for us”
😂😂😂

He's beaten 2 of the worst teams Tennessee has had in a long time (and 1 of those was barely) and his best 2 teams lost to us when we were still down. I'd say it's great news for us.

I’d say that’s just football lol. It’s 3-2 the last 5 years.

I don’t blame him for staying. He’s worshiped there for going 9-3 and 8-4. He will never win the East and his two best teams he still lost to a 5-7 Pruitt Tennessee team and a team this year that was completely gutted from all the players lost from last year basically a skeleton crew of a team and Heupel straight up outcoached him. He’s 2-7 against us during some of our worst stretches of football we own him.

The issue with this is Tennessee isn’t likely to change. We know Heupel will go 7-6 or 8-5 this year followed by another 7-5 season in which he will be on the hot seat immediately because that’s what happens in that fan base. Then they will fire him for some mid tier guy and the cycle continues. Kentucky will get 1-2 every 5-6 years but they will ultimately lose more than they win in this rivalry because that’s just what happens.

And I’m not trying to be a dick but you all are your own worst enemy. You have Alabama expectations but the last 20 years you’ve been South Carolina.

. Heupel will go 8-4 or 9-3 in the regular season next year and Kentucky will probaly go 7-5 and lose to UT again. This is was the season of the ages for Kentucky all those seniors yet stlll 9-3 and lost to UT again lol.

Bad news. Stoops isn’t going to OU now. CJH is the front runner now.

FYI blue font.

Good for UK bad for Stoops long term imo...think he has done all he can there and now gonna have to keep it rolling for a few more years to get bigger gigs

You’d have to think that Mark would have some insider info on how the OU search is progressing

I was wrong. Kentucky is 3 points worse and about 20 spots higher in the CFP.
UK also didn’t play Bama, OM or Pitt. There’s one guaranteed loss in there and likely 3. They drew State (and lost) and the worst LSU team in 20 years (5th & 7th in the west) while we drew 1st & 2nd. UK’s record is a product of their crappy ass schedule.

I’m guessing despite the connection he wasn’t getting hired at OU. No way you turn them down to stay at Kentucky.

given the history of UK football this is a good outcome. when I was there Bill Curry was there running the single wing

UK is consistently better than they've been in a long time.

Wasn’t that before the forward pass was legal? :)

There is 20 years of history that says that just isn’t the case. Also Kentucky has juniors sitting under seniors.

That’s fine but Tennessee still has to play those teams. We know you have no chance at beating Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. So that’s 3 losses right off the bat. Then you will lose to LSU and have another loss you shouldn’t have whether that be Missouri or South Carolina. Because of your unreasonably high expectations Heupel will then be on the hot seat for absolutely no reason. The cycle continues.

A coach will not be on the hot seat after 2 years. We will lose next year to one of two teams that we beat by a combined 70 pts this year, despite having the most decimated roster in CFB? Go back under your bridge you belligerent troll.
